Hello my fellow inlander, i sent my application on 20th August, and it reach CPC-M on 21st August and today i got a letter saying application received with a file no at top corner, it also say i can view the status of my apps using UCI# or the file no. I want to ask, is this letter what is called Acknowledgement of Receipt? I am the principal applicant. Or can anyone give a sample of AOR. Thanks all

Wow! That is great news and very quick, congrats.
Hopefully, they are speeding things up.

Have you tried to go to RAMQ office in down town? I faced a similar situation like you last year being pregnant and still not having my PR, they were very helpful and gave me some useful advise. I am not mistaken (but please do go there and check) if you have applied and you already received your CSQ (which I think at this stage you have not, I assumed??) You can actually be covered by the RAMQ for your pregnancy. If you have not received your CSQ but you have your AOR, I remembered they also gave me some way out but you have to come there and show them the letter. I also would advise you to go there together with your spouse/sponsor. Let me know how it goes. If it does not work out, I can give you some tips how to minimize your cost. In my case, I was not eligible to be covered by RAMQ at the end. But we managed to get some works around.
Hey,
Would you like to shed some light on that?
How to be covered by RAMQ with just CSQ in hand? What was the advises they gave you in regards to your situation? Why you weren't eligible to be covered? and finally how to reduce the giving birth cost in Quebec?
Thanks a lot

Resent my Application package the May 27th, until now I haven't got AOR yet. Frustrating to know August applicant's got theirs already.

did u call CIC CALL CENTRE,,, i also didnt get yet and trying to call them

I called CIC call centre to find out why I didn't get my AOR yet, lady said my file has been opened but Still in process... she also gave me client ID number which I can use if I call them again but not online. She didn't provide any UCI number as well.

Shoudl I call them next week again????????????/

I applied for the inland process in march 2014. Had also applied for owp which was turned down because they said that according to them i havent submitted any application for pr within canada. I got an aor in august and also have a visitors record now.
I think cic doesnt have employees for processing applications as we can see the processing times, they have been processing applications recieved n july 30 2013 from the past one month amd even reverted back to 29 july on one occasion. I dont think they will ever speed up the proceesing....this is so unfair

I sent my pr application to missisauga and the owp and visitors record to cpc vergeville

Your OWP application should have been included in a separate envelope along with your PR application with a notice that said "Do not process until after AIP".

That is why your OWP was refused. You don't yet have AIP.

my wife's study permit is gonna expire soon. we included OWP with application. in addition, we also applied for visitor visa. Recently she got accepted by university for a graduate program. i talked to CIC agent. he told me once u get visitor visa she cant study any longer and she has to apply study visa from outside of the country. I am planning to cancel visitor visa application (we applied earlier this month by mail). Please advise me what show we do?

Whilst I'd like to believe CIC is finally diligently processing our applications, it seems they've stopped processing AIPs in favour of issuing AORs. Apparently CIC only has the capability to do one thing at any given time. If you look at the wait times of the next 20-30 people in line waiting for AIP, the current times stand at around 380 days. The previous 20 people were averaging out at 330 days for AIP (most getting PR as well) and the last 30 people at 300 days. So, AIPs are taking longer, more than the official 12 months so I can only foresee one of the following two things happening. 1. Processing times increase yet again. 2. They actually start focusing on processing applications and issuing AIPs and we see things ramp up like they have for AORs. I'm hoping for the latter but with CIC, you never know.
