I am agree with you, UCI for Canadian sponsor is impossible!!!!????
this is not true. my sponsor is a canadian citizen, born and raised here, and he received a UCI when he received AOR.
recently though, i read on the forum that cic is sending AOR to the applicants, so the situation is different now.

This seems to be true. My husband sent his application in the beginning of June, and has received his AOR by email. Nothing has come to me, his sponsor.

Also, he didn't receive a UCI but instead received an Application Number. He already has a UCI associated with his file, as he's held work permits before applying.

I am the applicant, and I received AOR, not my sponsor. I've seen several users in this latest wave of AORs say the same thing. How do we find out our sponsors' UCI?

i think there is no general rule. cic used to send AOR to sponsors and now it seems that they are sending it to the applicants.
again, we cant say it for sure, but in my case, both the sponsor and the applicant could log in to ecas. so even if your sponsor didnt get a UCI you might be able to log in with your own uci. it might take a while though, maybe 10 days or so.
i am just sharing my own experience, i dont really know if it will be the same for everyone.

Thanks mary. :)

Someone born in Canada does not have a citizenship certificate. I'm going to keep trying to log in to E-cas with the file number given to me on my AOR. The AOR even says I should be able to view my status online and change my address, etc, with just that file number. I guess it will just take time.

With this CSQ issue pressing, I am eager to get in there and update my address. Lol

Being able to log on E-cas once AOR has been given has been quite a slow process. I wasn't able to log on E-cas after AOR until AIP has been received. Once I gotten that, I was able to log on. I am sure others have been able to log on between AOR and AIP but in my case, it was at AIP stage.

Haha, thanks, Smsm! They're terrible at giving clear answers, aren't they?
It depends; some dont know, some dont want to make an efforts, some thinks they are GODS and we should be grateful to them and we must not complain because as GODS they dnt make mistakes.. finally there are good real people who either know what they do and make efforts to clear things or they not very familiar but they still do their best to help :) That's CIC telephone agents.

I have never found a very friendly happy CIC call center agent though. I work Customer Service and am often on the phone, I have a very professional but friendly telephone manner, and no matter how hard I try I cannot get a similar response from the CIC agents. When I'm calling Rogers, or whatever other company I always get the people joking or at least to be very friendly with me....but no sucess with the CIC agents yet...lol
