Hi guys,

Do you know how long is timeline that CIC will call after i got a DM?

So here's an odd one....

When I check progress it says the folllowing:

We received your application to sponsor X on November 19, 2013.

We started processing your application on December 24, 2013.

Now does this mean it's actually being processed as this goes against what they say on their website about working on July?

Additional info on my application:

They also requested some additional information as I left some dates out by mistake about employment, these had to spent by 22nd February which they were and I'm pretty sure I remember checking postal tracking and they received that. Also received letter saying my file had been transferred to Mississauga.

Hello guys, How are you all ??!! I haven't been here lately, I'm proud to say that I've been busy with work!

Guri did you get your PR Card yet?!

I'm still waiting and I just saw that the time frame went from 61 days to 80!!!! :(

Thats standard for everyone! Mine says received application on july 30th, started processing aug 25th! Basically that is when they opened ur file

Hi Cirene, I should be receiving it any day now, according to ECAS processing has been completed as of May 15.I was shocked to see the increase in processing time as well. I can't believe it takes that long to issue a card.

No you shouldn't be worried. That's what it will say on the sponsored persons ecas because they don't process your application until stage 2. If you log in with your sponsor's information it will state the day they received your application and the date they started processing (which is really just the date they opened your application). No need to worry. It's just their procedure.

Quick Question.
I have a Inland Spousal Application submitted on Sept 2013.
I am from a Visa Exempt Country. My current Visitors visa expires in 6 weeks. I also submitted an OWP application with my Inland application in Sept 2013.
I just looked at the forms and it looks like it's double what it used to cost and there's quadruple the info asked from the last time I extended my stay in 2011. At 10 months processing it looks like the earliest I'd get AIP is JUly.
Should I pay the $100 bucks, tear my hair out filling out more forms and extend my stay or would I be covered under the implied status?

Because you submitted the OWP, you're covered under implied status.

I'm glad to know yours will be mailed soon!!! I don't know how long I'll have to wait until I get mine.

I always check eCAS and all it says "Complete" but not "Completed".. But I think I'll keep an eye on it as I'm "supposed" to get it in the next couple weeks, but I doubt it.

Keep us updated about your PR Card :D

I'm a 2014 January applicant, but e-cas shows only "We received your application to sponsor ...", nothing about "We started processing your application on...".
I submitted my application 4 months ago, and as I see you got "started processing" approx. one months after you applied. Maybe that's because of the Mississauga-transfer...

Once they are about to issue your card , you should be able to see another box called "Permanent resident card application" when you login with applicant's details. This box appears usually a week before CIC will issue your card. Also, as you know how consistent CIC is ;) you may or may not see this box. Hope you receive yours soon.

Yes possibly . They seem to be running very slow lately and I don't know how much of a priority Ecas is to them at this moment. Also, if you haven't received your AOR yet, that maybe why as well. Typically the "We started processing your application..." shows after you've received AOR.

That relieves me a little but out of curiousity I tried to log in with my sponsor's info and it wouldn't work. She has no Client ID number so I used the application number given on the notice that my file was transferred to CPC-M. It works if I use my info but won't log in if I fill hers in. Is that normal? lol
