So the CIC agent said the first stage is processed on your application? I guess she could not tell you the result of it.
Did she give any indication when they might start sending out AIP emails?

She said that but that wasnt the reason i called so i just didnt say anything about it been process, by the way my ecas still says application received. im sure they must have been working on applications during this stand still period. also 2nd week of april would make my application officially 8 months.

Someone who landed on Feb. 07 received their PR card today, so you should be receiving yours soon.
Also, I found another thing today, try logging in on ECAS, do you see an extra box for PR card, it should say "We started processing your PR card application on ..." <<< I found this info. from a thread where people who applied under CEC are waiting for their PR card but it probably applies to every one. Also, this box only shows up roughly a week before you will get your card.

Yes I think you are right, I landed on the 4th of Feb, just checked ECAS and its says we started processing your PR card on the 24th of March. I might be receiving my card next week hopefully. Will keep you informed.

Hahaha Thank you for pointing that out! Again, I was just curious. I'm a champ at being patient. As I'm sure you all are (we should get a medal). Hahaha I should've added that the reason why I was asking, additionally to the curiosity, was that my partner just got an really good job offer in Alberta and we're planning on moving in 2 months. Etobicoke is normally fast, you might receive the letter anytime. I got a phone call to confirm the date of interview then the letter came a week later.

saga81 ..my lawyer also called up CIC to know about my Additional documents and PCC ..But same time CIC agent told him about my first stage already goes through and asked him to call back again on first week of April and first week of April my application also officially 8 months..

For reals? I need that email to feel ecstatic! You are right, CIC do go a week faster than the date stated on the website. And Im still wondering if they received my meds or not that I sent later :s

I am a July 2013 app and I haven't received anything yet. I called CIC yesterday to ask about my application. I was told that I couldn't get info until the date on the site passes my app date. I also asked if the slowdown was due to training and the agent said it wasn't.

That would have been a slap in the face to those of us waiting...especially after they posted this to their website on Feb 13th:

To improve service and processing efficiency, responsibility for processing SCLPC applications was transferred from CPC-V to CPC-M to leverage its expertise in family class processing. These changes will ensure that Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) continues to meet its operational objectives in support of the Department’s ongoing modernization agenda.

Here is a friendly announcement if you live in edmonton, DO NOT DO YOUR MEDICALS in the medicentre by century park (2041-111 street) My beef is not with the doctor (she is very sweet). What I have a problem with is the reception staff and the wait time. They were rude over the phone, in person and its so disorganised I had to wait 1.5 hr past my appointment time to get my medicals done in december. What ticked me off is that I called today to ask when they sent my medicals in and they refused to release that info over the phone.. they want me to go all the way there (I live at the other end of the city!) just to find that info out. That is all.
