Hey hockeyfan. It's awfully lonely in the 2012 thread. ha ha ha.hockeyfan said:HI SCREECH!
Well yes, just about all the 2012 got their AIPs. Those that don't are either very unlucky or have gotten theirs but haven't reported to the thread.nrajani_99 said:Most of 2012 got their aip that's why its quiet in there .. we 2013 still waiting so want allot of action
Since I am assuming that you guys applied inland, it won't affect the application. If you haven't submitted the application yet, it may be a small issue as a letter from current employer would show that she is able to support you. Without the letter, she would have to show how she intent to support you without going on welfare.CanadaNJ said:Hey guys!
So my wife is sponsoring me and she is in the process of finding a new job. Her boss creates a hostile environment and she was going to wait until I can get a job (a few more months at the most) but she is sick and had to call in for a few days and her boss made her feel horrible about it.
What process do I need to complete to let immigration know that she has a new job once she has one? Since she iss intending to hand in her letter of resignation tomorrow (two weeks notice), would this put the application at risk for being denied? Since there's quite a chance she will have a time period of unemployment while she searches for a new job.
Thanks!
- sorry to post again. I'm just concerned about this. /:
You can take courses so long it can be completed less than 6 months. Taking a month job related course is okay too. What you have listed is fine to do as well. Any training that requires more than 6 months to complete to get a certificate is not allowed either.Greatnorth said:Hello,
I have been following this forum for some time and I have just recently registered to it. I am very grateful for the information provided on this forum.
We have a question about the OWP. It says 'unless authorized, prohibited of attending educational institution or taking academic, professional, or vocational training courses'.
Does anyone know if it means that taking any types of courses is not allowed, even if it is less than 6 months (which would not need a study permit) such as taking a one-month required training for a particular job, or French courses at night, or taking a three day-seminar required by work?
For the excel table:
They received our application on Feb 12 with the police records.
We sent the medicals in December (after we read on this forum that others did, so thank you).
We received AIP on Dec 31, DM on Jan 8, and OWP today on Jan 14. Landing date is unknown.
Thanks
We did. We applied late April '13 so we should be hearing some news in the next month or two hopefully.screech339 said:Since I am assuming that you guys applied inland, it won't affect the application. "CIC is exceptionally intelligent and organized". Ha ha. That's a laugh. Thanks for the laugh I needed that. You don't need to inform CIC of anything as far as I'm concerned about job changes.CanadaNJ said:We did. Will she need to update her undertaking form to show her continual support or is the initial one good enough? I imagine that they would need to know about a job change but then, we all know CIC is exceptionally intelligent and organized. :
