maybe u can contact mtl office ??

no...Montreal, like most of the other local offices. are closed to the public. Which means, you cannot contact them, and have to wait for them to contact you. It is on the website, and when i ask an agent on the phone how could i get in touch with the office they told me the same thing.

No. We haven't sent for gcms notes yet......

We are VERY frustrated with Our lawyer, he does not communicate with us well & had dropped the ball before!
We retained him in the fall of 2011and submitted our original 2012 application that we had returned for more info, and lost almost a year. It was resubmitted in March of 2013.

- We learned in our 23-01-2014 AIP letter that myFBI and my medical needs to be re-done. We raced out the next day and did both, despite knowing that we had turned in everything including our RCMP,FBI, fees, My medical, and everything else he had had us do in order to submit a complete application in March of 2013. We had our medical re-done on 24-01-14. I called the Medical office a couple of weeks later to confirm that it had been submitted medically, and they said to check back in a few weeks. Upon calling back the Dr's office stated that they had called my lawyers office and had left messages stating that they need my phone number to ask some follow up questions. We were never notified of this by my lawyer and it was only because of my follow up was I able to get in touch and take care of the follow up questions, and subsequently my medical was submitted 04-03-2014!

-Our lawyer neglected to inform us until 23-01-2014 that he had neglected to COMPLETE my FBI clearance as he was supposed to with our original application, despite having in hand the FBI fingerprints and our fee :-[
So Upon learning this - We did the FBI clearance and fees immediately (24-01-2014)knowing they take 6-8weeks to get back) and he submitted them on 11-03-20. I confirmed with CIC yesterday that they have received both.

:'( Despite my frustration and lack of patience with this process, I am even more frustrated with our attorney. ( We retained him in the Fall of 2011 and he is paid very well. at this point I am sure we would have been better off doing it ourselves) :'(

I am going to try and give it another 4-6 weeks....... : I might then consider ordering gcms

?Question? I was wondering if anyone knows how an applicant can change / switch the primary contact information to us instead of our lawyer. I no longer trust him to follow through in a timely manner/ and to handle things appropriately. Ideally they would have his information on there too, but it would secondary.
Please some advice from someone? Is there a link? Do I call cic? Thank you

Computergeek ... nothing gonna be change and nothing we can do with them ..i goes through ICCRC site their got few people those complaint about their lawyer to ICCRC and other Authorities but not any action taken against lawyer ..they just sent to lawyer a warning notice ..that's all ...I paid my lawyer very high amount also but he's not providing me good service and now the days i need to call him 10 to 15 times continue 3 to 4 days then only he replied back ...

ugh that's horrible. I feel like they are abusing their power and scamming people's money.. legally.

I just checked mine and logged in using hubby and mine. We have the same status as yours. I dont see the pcc received aa there is no portion for that but it said, "we have received your medical results..." If you click the link you should be able to see that.

I try with both UCI ...One showing sponsor in process
2nd showing only application received ..
I can't see my medical and PCC in my Ecas ..

The point of complaining isn't to get any specific action from your own complaint. But when enough people complain, they WILL investigate further.

Of course, I've been in the opposite situation - I've been the difficult client. My immigration attorney asked me to dismiss him and I refused to do so. He could have gone to the Court and asked for permission to withdraw, but that is embarrassing for him. Plus I don't think the judge would have agreed to do so (CIC was harassing him in order to get him to do this, actually. Of course, we resolved our disagreement out of Court - they granted PR and I withdrew my JR application).

Computergeek ...If i was in Singapore and same thing happen to me in Singapore then i already filed a Court Case Against Him or May be i already sue him ....but i am in Canada now under visitor status and i know what i can do ,,just nothing ...

Just out of curiosity why do you want to file a court case against your lawyer I thought everything was going ok. Didn't you say you might have 1st stage approval. Isn't everything going as it should?

Linden ...Computergeek and me just discussing here about Canuck*soon lawyer behave and attitude and we r talking about lawyers , not only my lawyer and u always jump in without safety jacket , keep ur safety gears on okay ...Linden when u paid to someone quite good amount(4.5k) for good service (service standard 70% to 80% consider okay) BUT he just providing u 40% to 60% good service and not entertaining u properly or don't care about u at all then what u wanna do with him ??.please read this page from top to down, so that u can understand why computergeek and me start this topic ... :

I got in contact with an extremely nice agent who was nice enough to check my file and told me that it had already reach montreal. And that it marked "letter sent" with date of yesterday.. so probably ill get my letter early next week
He also told me that landing letters should not take longer than 6-8 weeks after DM. And when it takes long, is cuz is a harder case. (dependents, file that got transfer before aip, etc) but an smooth case like mine doesnt take longer than 8 weeks,
So yeah, im kind of relief, i also ask him a few more personal questions about my file and some doubts i had... and he was really nice and answer everything..
I guess there's hope for cic agents Some of then are indeed trying to do their job or at least threat us well

for the statutory declaration of common law form, can we see a commissioner for oaths or do we need to see an actual notary public?

we did the one for my husband at a commissioner of oaths (PM for our area) for free. It would cost over $100 to do at a notary office. It's considered notarized either way

Congrats MaxLet hopefully you'll receive your landing letter next week.
So should I be worried because my file was transferred a year before we got our aip? I was told that everything looks good and now I'm waiting on the medical letter.... :-X

You can do medicals without any letter , I've done medicals twice already without any order letter or anything like that . I really feel sorry that you left call center agents misguide you about that . My last medicals were done in jan 13 , 2014 and it only took a week for cic to receive it .

I've looked all over the cic website and I cannot find a single form its really odd or I'm just looking at the wrong site? If I can print out the forms I might not even need to wait for them to email me the letter because we still haven't received the email/snail mail for medical request. Im lucky I found out by ph by calling twice 30 mins apart yesterday about the medical.

There is no form for that , all you gotta do is show at the clinic , bring your passport ,( if you don't have PP, then a driver license from Canada will do it ) when you get there they will give some paper work to fill up and just make sure you write your full name , DOB ,country of origin perfectly ( don't even need to write your UCI )
. And ask if they transfer the results to cic electronically , if they do , it will take one week to be on cic's system . Bring a lot a patience too , will need it bcus usually there are long waits on them clinics .
