Cirene, that's ridiculous. I would call CIC first thing in the morning and speak with them. Take this time to gather the proof of sending the application out and finding the email or the notification you received when the application was delivered. Also, pull up your AOR. Have all of this with you before you call. Explain that you're upset and you would like some answers.

Yeah they know they received it on April 2nd 2013 because my husband's eCAS shows it and mine too and the agent told me the same. That's why he was so amazed by the fact that I didn't heard anything in the last 3 past weeks.

I'll call tomorrow and see what's going on... and if this takes longer I do hope they extend my medical as well..

I emailed my lawyer today, and he wasn't any help at all...even though I know he should have something showing they received our application he tells me that we don't have a file number yet so can't track it on the site. I don't believe him, but oh well. He also tells me they received it at the end of July "some time in the last week of July" and can't even give me a date...so frustrating!

yes he should give u acknowledge receipt. Because my consultant show me (send me e-mail) to prove that CIC got our file . u have to ask ur lawyer . if he refuse or BS you .... that mean he scam ur money

Hi guys, so finally my husband's eCAS says that they received my application and they started processing my application for PR on Jan 30th 2014

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ????? Do I have to wait another 11 months ??? If someone knows, please let me know as I am very exhausted!

Cirene, don't get disheartened! I can't imagine that's the case. It's probably just someone entering erroneous info. The good news is that you know they're looking at your file. Make sure you stay on them though. Keep phoning until you get either AIP and DM or at the very least, until you get an answer that makes sense!

Cirene, if it is saying they are now processing the PR application as of Jan 2014, do NOT be disheartened, that means that the sponsorship has been approved (AIP) and they are now working on the actual PR part of the application.

**EDIT*** I know this because until they begin to process the actual PR part of your application (not the sponsorship part) the PR will continue to say, Application Received, only.
