They received my application on the 15 of jan!!...I wasn't expecting this until december but i'm guessing they're working faster now!!

I am in a really bad mood because of CIC today.
How does it take this long to see if we are qualified as sponsors? I've been waiting almost a year. It's like they're at work for 8 hours but only doing actual work for 2. Getting annoyed of opening my e-mail and seeing nothing.

Don't worry they are working, just be patient hopefully you will receive AIP by the end of the day. Once you receive it, you will be loving all the CIC staff.

My husband (sponsor) and I have received AIP emails from CIC this morning. CIC received our application on Jan 21, 2013 and the AOR date was Feb 8, 2013. We submitted the application along with medical exam results and police certificate. OWP was submitted seperately on Oct 10, 2013. I talked to an agent last week and wondered if the OWP was attached to our application. He advised that it was not yet attached.

I have been calling CIC (3 times) this morning but it says they won't be able to transfer my call to an agent due to high volumes of calls.

Also, My PGWP is expiring on Nov 24, 2013 so are my OHIP and SIN. Would I be able to extend my OHIP with AIP email?

Congrats on AIP! Always good to hear more and more getting it! I think you can, just bring a copy of the AIP email you both received!

OWP: Oct 10, 2013 congratulations that's good news for aip but my guess if they did not mention owp has been approved with your aip maybe it has not been attached to your file as yet.you shuld definitely keep calling cic to sort it out.

Congratulations! !!!! Try calling CIC at 8am or just before 9am. Lately phones have not been going through easily. Normally people have to wait for 3 months after receiving AIP to get OHIP but I am not sure about your case since you are already working. As for your SIN, I think they will issue you a new SIN once you obtain your OWP or you have landed. I could be wrong but this is the knowledge that I have. You could call the OHIP to find out.

Good afternoon everyone

I am a little confused. How long does it take to get a conformation from CIC that they received my application? We sent it out a month ago. Every day I am checking ecas and emails and there is nothing. But we got the conformation that CIC recieved it from Canada Post. Thank you for any reply!!!

CONGRATS! Mine was received on the 21st too!

It's so funny because we've been waiting so long that at this point it feels it would be "just my luck" mine will be missed or something. Funny how that works! I can't concentrate on anything else right now! :-\ Tick tock, tick tock!

AIP, AIP, AIP, we got AIP!!! OMG everyone, I can't believe it! Minutes after I made that last post it showed up in e-mail box. I had to look at twice, I couldn't believe my eyes! I even cried! ;D
