Landed yesterday in ETOBICOKE. Same 3 normal questions asked, changed my SIN, applied for Health card but its gonna take three months to get it.
For you all waiting, find something to do and kill ur time cuz ur day/time will surely come soon

Great news---received landing appointment letter yesterday! (Thank GOD!) Landing interview is scheduled a month from now. Just so happy, I couldn't help but cry.

Below is my timeline:

AOR: Sep 24, 2013
OWP: Jan 9, 2015
AIP: Mar 3, 2015 (was asked to redo my medical exam; had my medical redone that same week)
Landing appointment letter: May 29, 2015

Will give an update after our interview. God bless us all!

Not you. This says it's down for everyone:

However, the specific problem I get is unresolvable DNS:

> crc.gc.ca
Server:  UnKnown

Name:    crc.gc.ca

And online:

DNS server handling your query: localhost
 DNS server's address:	127.0.0.1#53
 
 ** server can't find cic.gc.ca: NXDOMAIN

This would only happen if they:

• Didn't pay their renewal fee for their domain gc.ca which would take down all gc.ca sites, but this isn't the case as CRA is up
• Someone got mad and hacked into their name provider and re-routed the DNS entries to nowhere
• They are moving their hosting machines and updated the table incorrectly while doing so

I hope it's the last one, and that the new servers don't suck as much as the old ones.

March 6, 2014 (AOR) applicant here. I am on the spreadsheet for 2014. I received an email from CIC asking for my medical. Granted I submitted my medical exam with my application - though the medical exam was from January 2014.

However, in my ECAS file it says "medical received." Conflicting information (shocker) from CIC. I really do not feel like spending the 300 plus for the medical examination, but the letter says if I don't do the medical within 30 days, then the application could be denied.

Thoughts on next steps for me? Any input is appreciated.

Just want to say - STAY STRONG

Me and my partner applied Sept 2013... got PR in March this year...

It was a hellish process to say the least. But we made it, and you will too guys.

On the bright side, going through a process like this shows real character. Good luck to you all.

I wouldn't risk my PR for 300 bucks. You got an official request, you need to do it again.

Since you did your medical in Jan 2014, technically it has expired Jan 2015. The agent can make a decision to grant an extension on your current medical file or not. In your case, the agent has decided that you need to a new medical test. After all you cannot land in Canada without a valid medical test result. I would strongly advise you to do your medical exam again.

Good news for me, finally got my PR last week - May 28th....woohoooo!

Been a long road, three years in all. That was down to extra medicals, as it turns out, for no reason. I was just a randon victim of a spurious xray. Oh and the panel doctor sitting on the results for 4 months didnt help either!

But at last I got it! Hang in there guys, you'll get yours and the feeling is awesome!!!

I've DM'd you. But DM was may 26th. Interview was May 28th. May 28th. is the date of my PR granted!
