Hi all.

So I got my DM letter in my email finally after over 2 years of waiting. I am so happy I could fart rainbows!

On a serious note, can anyone give me any hint as to how long the current wait is to be contacted for the Etobicoke office?

I received the DM letter on April 9th. Thanks in advance.

Finally my husband received his PR card yesterday, April 29. Everything is over!!!!!

On the advice of the call centre agent, I sent the 2nd copy (I had two copies of the same document notarized at the same time) of the same notarized statutory declaration to CPC-Vegreville with a letter explaining this was in response to the letter from them I got the same day I had my two youngest children examined by a CIC panel physician in Pittsburgh, and how the points in the declaration address the requirements of the letter. I also requested to be informed if there is anything specific they are still unclear about concerning my 2nd child who is 18 and refused to comply.

This time I sent via XpressPost with tracking info and have the receipt from Canada Post with signature that they received it on 23 April.

Now I just wait I guess until I hear from them, and hope that they accept this the same as they did my oldest child when she refused to comply at the age of 19.

I believe this is my last hurdle to pass.

Well at just under 30 months processing time and after been told last Friday not to expect a decision until at least the end of July - which resulted in my writing a very desperate email to Chris Alexander's office -I am pleased to say I have received my DM email today! Hopefully not too long for others that are outstanding now or for my appointment here in Calgary. ;D

I have been quite for sometime but I am happy to say finally we are done,got DM in March and yesterday was the landing interview which went fantastic-Now we wait for the last leg which is the PR card-I can't express the joy my family and I feel,we give God all the glory!!!!!
To those still waiting,hold on tight because your day is coming soon,the end of this journey is near :-*

We had a short wait today for my landing interview and my Canadian born husband had most of the questions.

He was asked: Have you ever been declared bankrupt? Have you any criminal convictions here or in another country? Are you currently working? Do you have any dependant children in another country? Have you ever been to court for not paying child or spousal support?

I was asked: Do you have any criminal convictions here or in another country?

And that was it! We have the two year conditional because we have no live children but that won't really matter to us. After 2 years, 6 months, 4 days and a few hours I have COPR! Just 6 ish weeks to get my PR card.

Thank you for all your support on here everyone and speedy luck to those still waiting.

Hey just just to update u guys after the long wait am please to say I got my DM notice finally:
It was wonderful to read those wonderful words.....:

"This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in Halifax will contact you concerning your permanent resident
status............" On May 19th around 8pm.

Thanks everyone for all ur support and encouragement during this trying times and pray that all that still waiting will hear good news soon too!

Now just to wait for Halifax to contact me for appointment! Any ideas on how fast Halifax set the interview dates?
