Thanks a lot for your reply charmainefrances and Mimence777

I received AIP after 11 months
Can I ask you one question, after AIP received any chance for interview??
What they normally do in second stage??
Do you think I have to apply for open work permit (I am house wife)?
I tried to apply online but it's really confusing (too many question)
If you applied for work permit plz help me

I think if you got AIP already, you already passed the crucial part... the first stage is the most crucial one because that is when they check if the marriage or relationship is genuine... As for me, my husband and I had an interview at the Edmonton office last Sept. then after a month we got approved...so aip and owp granted. It is really up to you if you want to apply for an OWP. When we submitted our application in 2009, we included an OWP application, so when we got approved I was granted the owp as well. (although I am working already before I had the OWP.)

Hello everyone, I am new on this forum and I am looking for some help. I applied for inland on 28 Oct 13, got AOR on 29 Nov 13. The time I sent my inland application I didnt had my birth certificate so I mentioned in the application that I am seeking my birth certificate and I will send it to CIC as soon as I will receive it. Since I got my new birth certificate from back home, now I am confused how to send it to CIC and how to make sure that it will stick to my application?

One more question please, I came to Canada in 2010 and never went back or traveled to any other country. In my inland application I used the same Police Certificate, which I used to obtain Study Visa back in 2010. Now am I suppose to get a new police certificate from back home or the old one which was issued in 2010 before coming to Canada will work for me?

This is very useful forum and I am feeling bad for myself that why I didnt discovered it before. Your answers will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi everyone...

Got this letter in email from CIC on the 18th.
"This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Hamilton will contact you concerning your permanent resident status."

1. You can send it to the address that CIC has listed on their website:

General correspondence (general inquiries, documents requested by CPC Vegreville, withdrawal requests, additional information):

CPC Vegreville
6212-55th Avenue
Vegreville, AB
T9C 1W5

Make sure that you include a cover letter and write your name, date of birth, file number and your UCI number (which you should have from your study visa....I believe), so that they can match this to your file.

2. Your police report is expired and it cannot be used for your Inland application. You will need to order a new one ASAP.

I submitted my application in July 2012... At the end of September 2013 I received a denial letter stating that they had tried to contact me to get my medical done and that my timeline to do so had passed.

I hadn't received anything from CIC and was shocked by the letter, to say the least... Long story short, I had tons of proof that the mistake was on their end and my MP was able to get my case reopened a month and a half later.

I got my medical done in November and around the end of December/early January they updated my file as having received my medical results.

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for them to finish processing my application after receiving my medical results? This whole thing has already set me back by almost 6 months (I was supposed to get PR status in September).

Anyone?

1. Put the city/town you living in.
2.Put any occupation -->doesn't matter.
3. If your OWP expires December 2014, put any date before that. For e.g.November 2014.
These are generic questions, you don't need to work in the occupation you put in.

The clock restarts on the reopening of your file. So look at the timeline on the CIC website for the office processing your application and project forward from the date your file was reopened.
