I received my landing letter again via e-mail this afternoon weird tho' even though I got my landing letter via snail mail on the 16th of December 2013. Same letter I got via snail mail. I land 22nd Jan @ Calgary Smiley ! So am guessing everyone should be checking their emails too for landing letter in case its sent via e-mail like how mine was.
.

Hello, I can see you will land on 22nd Jan 2014/Calgary, If you don't mind asking you, how long it took you to wait the landing letter form your DM? I got my DM on 13th Jan2014, my local office is Edmonton. Just for curiosity.

Thank you for your quick reply, I'm happy for you and congrats. I hope I get also mine in 4 weeks or less, as you got. But I'm not sure what is the frame waiting time for Edmonton from DM to Landing letter. But the best has arrived for us, Good luck and go celebrate....

You are obligated to inform them (and the best thing to do is update your supplemental information form where you list non-immigrating children) but it won't make any difference to the processing of your application.

Thank you all for the input. we'll monitor the situation... if all goes well we'll be parents around Aug/Sep, HOPEFULLY I will have landed by then and not need to do anything, but if not we'll probably call them and find out what to do.
thanks for all the helpful input.

Imo.

How do you order your notes can you send me the links?

I'd like to take poll of those who have received AIP and DM within one month of one another:

1) during the process, did the applicant leave Canada to the US?
2) during the process, did the applicant leave Canada to another country other than the US?

Trying to determine if an applicant left Canada during the process and returned without being denied entry whether any foreign visits would delay the process in receiving DM (given the security checks required prior to DM).

Thanks

Has the sponsor contacted the MP for the riding in which you live and asked for assistance? Members of Parliament can be helpful in situations like yours.

She has not contacted the MP yet, but that is a good idea. I'll let her know that we should give that a try. Thanks for the advice computergeek, much appreciated.

Just want to say thank you to screech and all others in this forum. I've been regularly looking in on this forum throughout my wife's and my inland sponsorship application process, and the information and encouragement amongst everyone here has been exceptional (even if I never proactively posted). So thank you.

Hopefully our information will help someone out as well. Patience is not always easily embraced.

Country of Origin: Japan
Canadian City of Residence: Calgary
Date App Received: 24-DEC-12
AOR: 31-JAN-13
AIP: 6-NOV-13
OWP: ??-NOV-13 (don't remember exact date, but within 2 weeks of AIP; applied in JUL-13)
Medical Done: wApp (was actually done SEP-12 for a change of conditions application, but was accepted for the PR application)
Police Check Done: wApp
DM: 4-DEC-13
PR Landing: waiting

Looking like we should (hopefully) have the landing letter in our hands by the end of the month.

Cheers
