I feel your pain all too well. I am at just over 10 months since AIP. I called to ask why it has been that long even though the estimates are for DM within 8 months. They said it is 8 months for 80% of the applications. I do wonder if that's just the "party line" or if they are just running behind on everyone's apps. I was also told that the last time my file was reviewed was in Sept 2013 and that the call center cannot review the file again until 7 months have passed. So, nothing to do but wait until they contact me i guess.
I really thought the process, though time-consuming, would go smoothly but now I'm getting nervous. Nothing weird about my situation, inland app for spousal sponsorship from usa. We even had an attorney review our apps before sending to make sure everything was ok.
Here is what I have so far, so feel free to add me to the spreadsheet if you like.
AOR-Sep 20, 2012
AIP- Mar 8, 2013 (OWP received with letter)
Medical records sent and received (acknowledged around June 2013)
FBI letter sent Nov 2012 (no acknowledgement from CIC though)
Fingerprints sent Mar 2013 (no acknowledgement of receipt either)
I do have confirmation of receipt at Vegreville via Canada Post for both the FBI letter and the fingerprints.
