Hi Victorswife,

I'm hoping you and others have a much shorter waiting period than us. My wife received a DM email in early April 2013, telling us the Vancouver office will contact us. It's been 10 months, and we're still waiting. We called them when it reached 3 months, and we were told to wait 6 months. After 6 months, we were told to wait another few months. We're planning on calling next week, because this waiting is killing us.

10 months so far for the Vancouver office to contact us...

Send a written inquiry to the Vancouver office (Expo Blvd). I've seen people report this issue before and when they inquire they hear from the Vancouver office.

Hi there, We had a very similar timeline to you. We were requested to redo our medicals and it was updated online shortly after in Sept. We received DM today.. so it was about 3.5 months since we saw the Medical results received online until now getting DM email. Hope that helps, God Speed.

Thanks for sharing your information.wish to see DM soon.it is been long wait.

Hi all,

my landing is this coming Monday, and I am SO excited! :)

I have another question though:

my parents-in-law who are Canadian citizens have been out of the country for a while and had to apply for new OHIP cards. Their English is not the greatest, and when they came home they suggested that the officer told them they could not leave the country for the next 7 months. Is this true? Or did they misunderstand the "need to be in the country for 7 out of the 12 months to qualify" rule? My sisters' wedding is coming up in 3 months, and I *need* to be able to leave the country, which would be just after applying for my OHIP.

Does anybody here have timing for landing at Etobicoke..!!?

thank you..!! You too… You are almost over with all this. At least after that you just have to wait for your PR card.

oh ok that sounds good, I spoke to a representative of the call centre and he told me 4 months but you are the second person who got it faster so I will wait and keep positive that it will come faster..!!

I got my pr card today!!!

Perfect timing cos I have to go to Seattle on Sunday for work!!!

Nicjohn

Are you saying you are now moving to Seattle for work?

No, just for a week, for a course..

I'm from March, 2012 application, file transferred to my Edmonton local office in December 2012. Got my AIP in July 2013. Just wanted to know if some body has experiences about Edmonton CIC office. How long this may take to get DM after AIP/ from Edmonton local office.

Hello senior members,
I have another question, I did my medical exam since August 2013, but up to now, it doesn't show on e-case(online),but when I called the center call, they said the medical exam and passport were received. So why these infos are note updated yet on my e-case?

Your lucky ! You should be thankful you got AIP in July , I read of many people getting transfer to edmonton before AIP and are still waiting for over 24 months for an interview and AIP . And about e-case ,, don't rely too much on that , there are people already with PR card on their hand , and e-case still shows "application received " or " in process"

Each VO is responsible to update his/her online stats for each case. If they haven't gotten the chance or just prefer not to, that would be the answer. Mine never did show anything beyond "in process" . Now a month after landing. it shows the DM and my landing date.
