I'm still waiting on my landing letter. Got DM in October. Was told last time I called that I'd have it in hand before the end of the year. Going to have to start calling CIC again on a regular basis until I get some real answers.

Hope everyone has had a great Christmas and has a Happy New Year filled with good news!

"Yes I see you had meds requested, When did you redo them?"
The next day..
long pause... "let me look into that" (it wasn't showing on his screen)
My heart nearly stopped.
"Yes it looks like you have done them in Sept/Oct. The next officer to look at your file will see they have been received"
"Any insight as to when our file will be looked at again"
"You are still within the allotted time frame."
"I know but the times have changed between 11-6 months and we had hoped to be travelling soon."
"It is good news that your medical was requested that is a good sign"
"okay Thank you"

Congrats on your DM! finally!! I'm not sure how long takes to land at Vancouver. The Vancouver is one of busiest office. According to the timesheet, the shortest is 27 days after DM. But the longest is 174days after DM! :o

Had our interview at cic etobicoke last sept 12. Visa officer told us to wait for 3weeks for a response as our case according to him is complicated.it took us to wait 3 long months of sleepless nights and last dec10 i received a call from a different visa officer for a phone interview who asked the same questions. After my interview i asked him how long will i wait again as i want to have peace of mind,he didn't commit for a time frame but i told him i hope she can make my christmas a "merry" one. Finally on dec24 3pm we received our AIP+OWP in the mail. It was indeed the best christmas gift we had! Merry Christmas everyone.
congrades Arhel best christmas present for sure.:) :)

It took us a long time because hubby's med exam was about to expire and they extended it. Still took almost 2 month after they've done the med extension.

Thanks for correcting me. You didn't write in the month so I assumed it was January.

So congrats to you on becoming a PR of Canada, just in time for Christmas.
