I wonder why I'm getting no luck until now. While most of my friends here who applied in March 2012 or later already got the landing date and just waiting for their PR cards, I had to wait 11.5 months just for stage 2 to be completed = DM (checking background, really? I'm a normal person, just eat, sleep, study and work; exercise sometimes ::)) even though applying in February 2012. Now I will have to continue waiting another 5-6 months (based on Vancouver CIC responses) for landing interview plus 2-3 months for PR cards. Wow! That's really tough for me :-X

Anyway, congratulations to you guys who have just got AIP, DM and PR cards. Hopefully there will be more good news tomorrow, Monday, hohoho!

It's a new week! And hopefully it will be a busy one for CIC. :) Fingers crossed for all of my fellow 2012ers!

Does any one know what are the basic questions being asked by Etibicoke office for the landing interview? I have heard from a lot of you guys that they ask three questions. thank you

alright, new week. hoping for good news today!

@screech,

I just wanna ask you something. I've checked my sponsorship status online and there was no changes yet, still application received. But then I called Cic and the woman said that it is IN PROCESS already but has no decision made yet. Am I not supposed to receive any email from Cic if my status is already IN PROCESS? I and my husband didn't receive anything from Cic may it be email or mail.

I'm so happy though because last month when I called Cic , the lady said application received, but now the lady said its in process, it means there's progress on my application but just that orient receive any email from them just as how usually applicants here receive good news from their application.

I think it is more of that your application is in process the moment you gotten AOR, as far as CIC is concerned. The agent could be saying "in process" due to CIC evaluating your application for AIP stage and maybe follow by a DM shortly after. There are a few cases of people gettting AIP and DM at same time.

Thanks Yvr1234 and Congrats to you too. ;D wow, that was a long time of waiting (6 months), I think I will go nuts. I was very close to call cic and ask if they forget about me. I guess it is a good thing to keep myself very busy. Where are you landing?
rxpei :) My hubby will be landing in Vancouver. It was a very long wait.

Thanks Screech339! Replied your PM.

bah! just called CIC and they said my file is still in process. they said not to expect any letters or emails as there are no notes or notices on the file. i also should call back on the 30th if i don't hear anything as that's when the 11 months is up.

so frustrating!!!!!!!!

Screech, thanks for updating my info and all your fabulous work on maintaining the spreadsheets.

I received the letter from CIC Etobicoke notify that my interview date will be Nov 7, 2013, at 10:45 am
But in the letter it said:
" I am pleased to advise you that the processing of your application for PR will be finalized at an interview that has been scheduled ..."
Is it common for an landing interview or it mention about other interviews?
(I have read other post talk about some interviews where they checked the relationships with many difficult question and required both spouses answer separately. It is scary for me)
Anyway, I hope my life long journal will changed soon.
Wished everybody have a good week ^^!
Love you all because of your sharing.
