Hi all,
Can anybody tell me where do ottawa applicants land as i see on website there r two offices in ottawa ,one is at laurier avenue west , other is on catherine street.

Does any one know what are the basic questions being asked by Etibicoke office for the landing interview? I have heard from a lot of you guys that they ask three questions. thank you

I have read several posts in the past and I guess they are supposed to
1. Have you ever been convicted in any criminal ... ?
2. Have you ever been refused to enter to Canada ...?
3. Beside the children which is declared in the application, do you have any other children ...? ( I think it would be optional and may be changed because in my case I do not have any children in my application?)

^^! I will be interviewed in Etobicoke too, Nov 7.
But in my letter it didnt indicate that would be landing interview so I have a little bit worry about it.

I received the letter from CIC Etobicoke notify that my interview date will be Nov 7, 2013, at 10:45 am
But in the letter it said:
" I am pleased to advise you that the processing of your application for PR will be finalized at an interview that has been scheduled ..."
Is it common for an landing interview or it mention about other interviews?
(I have read other post talk about some interviews where they checked the relationships with many difficult question and required both spouses answer separately. It is scary for me)
Anyway, I hope my life long journal will changed soon.

Sounds like it is just the standard landing interview, after which you will be a PR. Congrats!

bah! just called CIC and they said my file is still in process. they said not to expect any letters or emails as there are no notes or notices on the file. i also should call back on the 30th if i don't hear anything as that's when the 11 months is up.

so frustrating!!!!!!!!

Same answer I've got Sounion,. How about your status online, is it marked "in process"?.

Though I'm not a specialist, I have read that someone had landed at Catherine Street. The office at Laurier Avenue west is not a local office. It is a 'Case Processing Pilot', so, I guess CPP-Ottawa doesn't handle the landing interview. You will see. I hope you receive a letter from the local office soon.

Hi guys just a quick question for the experienced inlanders!

After receiving stage 1 approval AIP, what is the time frame CIC usually gives for their medical request? 1wk/2 weeks? I will be gone for holidays in asia around the time I will supposedly get stage 1 approval *knock on wood*

Hi Brunei,

It's not recommended you leave Canada unless you are from a visa exempt country and even then there are no guarantees of being allowed back into the country. Also, as soon as you get stage 1 approval, they will ask you in the same email to do the medical. It is always a risk leaving the country and then coming back if you are applying inland.

I have a 3 yr work permit and TRV (Visa excempt country but stateless) will they still refuse me? What is the typical time frame given in the AIP email? just so that I don't plan our vacation for too long.

Online it just says, "Application Received", yet the woman at CIC said it says, "In Process". Yay for confusing messages!
