Thank you computergeek , you've been so helpful for all of us.. yes i know they are keeping the $150.. hope i don't have to wait to long in getting my appointment date... because Now i'm thinking of gettng the temporary SIN after i get the work permit in my mail or wait for etobicoke the landing date mail?

You might as well go get the temporary SIN, as it will permit you to start looking for work. I think of it as a sort of "Murphy's Law" approach to the world - if you put off getting a SIN until you can get the permanent one, you'll end up passing up some great job...

But either way, congratulations - you'll soon be a PR of Canada.

Just called the call center to see if i have a landing date already.. then the lady said vancouver sent out an invitation letter last oct. 11 and my landing date is oct. 29..

Yippeee! So happy to hear the good news.. )) any suggestions what to prepare and bring during the appointment?

Etobicoke has been fast getting landing letters out lately. So you should expect a letter within 2 weeks in the mail.

So it's now been over 12 weeks since DM, and we continue to wait for the office in Vancouver to contact us.

We have tried to call and email the call centre multiple times with no success. We feel it may be discrimination for several reasons. There's applicants who received their landing interviews (from Vancouver) within a month or two, while others have been waiting several months. When trying to call them, after entering the requested information, we are given a recording that says the call cannot be transferred due to the high volume of calls and then it disconnects. And we have also not received any response through email, other then a general auto response.

Is there an email address, telephone, or fax number to contact the office in Vancouver that deals with the landing interviews?

I would like to know as well. It's been almost 6 months for us. (Since early May)

Hi,

Finally today my ecas has been updated to "Decision Made". I have not yet received any communication from CIC, so I am hoping I will receive something in my mailbox in next few days. I live in Hamilton so I am hoping it will be my landing office.

My timeline is:

- Application received at the CPC (Vegreville, AB) on May 7, 2012
- AOR Received on August 31, 2012
- Medical Done on October 16, 2012 (showed on ecas on Nov 21, 2012)
- AIP - October 16, 2012 (ecas updated on October 23, 2012)
- OWP - Applied online on Aug 8, 2013 and received it on Sep 23, 2013 (Duration - 2 yrs)
- Fingerprinting request - Done on Sep 13, 2013. RCMP has completed the verification on Sep 16, 2013 and sent it to CIC.
- DM - ECAS updated on Oct 15, 2013

I was requested to do fingerprints and it was sent today! Should i expect to hear back in approximately a month?

Congrats to all those who got good newd. my interview is on friday and i ave a question. Are the photos to do medicals and for pr the same size. i took some photos for my mrfical but didnt use them because the same day they started taking ur pictures on d spot and send it online. was wondering if i could use hem for my pr interview. also my interview letter only ask for my passport and my husband id should i bring anything else. thanks much for ur imput
