Just got my AIP email a few minutes ago! And it also said my OWP was approved!!! Sooooo excited!!! Just got moved into our house yesterday and now AIP today! Yay!

Congrats on getting your AIP. Let me know when you get OWP in the mail. Hope it get delivered to your new house.

It won't. But we have a secondary address that gets checked daily. I didn't want to confuse CIC so close to AIP so haven't updated my address yet.

My sponsor got the AIP a few minutes ago, we are so happy jumping around everywhere.... I (the applicant) haven't gotten the email indicating the work permit approval or that they will process my permanent residence application...

OMG i got the second email!!!!

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class.

It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident
status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in Etobicoke will contact you concerning your permanent resident
status.

I got the work permit approval too, that why the email about the DM is confusing...

does anyone know what's the average waiting time for the appointment of the Etobicoke office?

This is super exciting!!! November 2012 applicants are almost done!!!!!! I am really hoping they keep this speed up for stage 1 and keep giving AIP's to people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi there, i promise to come back once i got my PR card and now it's in my hand~

I landed in Vancouver on 15AUG2013, and got the PR card in mail on 15OCT2013, so that's exactly 2 months~

Good luck to all who are still patiently waiting, it gonna be your chance very soon.

My spouse's application was received on November 23, 2012 and we just received our AIP!!! ;D They also approved his open work permit and said it would be sent to us shortly.

Question- will they send us the open work permit by post or email?

Just called the call center to see if i have a landing date already.. then the lady said vancouver sent out an invitation letter last oct. 11 and my landing date is oct. 29..

Yippeee! So happy to hear the good news.. )) any suggestions what to prepare and bring during the appointment?
