hi Guys l have a question, where are are the medical results for non-accompanying dependants send to? l have applied for inland.

@Weelove it's sent to the case processing for your country.
It's not sent bk to Canada. For example I'm Grenadian and the case processing Center for Grenada
is Trinidad.
Hope this helps!

@jolly,

Were you able to go apply for OHIP with your AIP letter?

Congratulations to all of this weeks positive mentions! To October applicants that are still waiting... Your time is really really soon! I can feel it!

My Hubby Received his Work permit yesterday, It had Fridays issue date on it. valid for one year
It also has a note at the bottom where it says Remark/Observation: Application for Permanent Residence Status has received initial Approval.

So I'm thinking that is AIP? I hope I will get something that specifically states that. Maybe today.

It is also states very clearly that he is not to go to any Educational institute of any kind... So CLOSE... YET SO FAR!!! We are never happy right!?

I hope there will be Friday good news for all of you like I had last week.

@ screech no, the one I went to said at first
they don't do it unless I hv a work permit when I ask what
happens if I never applies for an OWP then I was told the person who deal with that ways out
at the moment!!
I'll try another one on Monday!

CIC had requested proof of my (the sponsor) address from a year before application was sent, i found something from Dec 2011 which i sent today ( i also accidently sent a form with a different address from sept 2011 :S) hopefully they don't get more confused by this. Hopefully we hear something today since i faxed them this morning.

Has anyone had CIC request further documents like this and get same day response? Im so nervous...I got an email being approved as a sponsor but then they asked my fiance for proof i lived with him a year before application, i am not too sure if that means they wont give him AIP until proof is received, or whether the proof was needed for second stage....

soooo anxious now that we are almost there, but who knows with CIC.

What I would do is print up the OHIP qualification list and show it to them and call them out on it. As what they said to you that you need to be on OWP to qualify is BS. You can get on OHIP with AIP.

We had to write to OHIP review board to get them to overrule the local ontario service decision and grant us OHIP coverage.

You applied on the same day with me.
You were requested document in Jan.
Can I ask what it was?
I'm so nervous about additional documents
which cause delay.

Thanks

I forgot to sign a form,that's why!!

Congrats on getting your landing letter. It appears that Etobicoke office is sending out letters very fast. Good for you sunbrey. We were not so lucky in getting a quick response from that office.

I have updated the timesheets on your status.

BTW: I think I have asked you this before and I may have forgotten this. Did you apply for OWP?

hey, you just wait 8 months!!! for AIP and DM you should buy a lottery ticket in your way to the interview, maybe that luck will work also to win some money!

:P

Congrats everyone! Lots of good news here!!

Well, I finally called the immigration centre and since I am not legally authorized to check my hubby's status, she won't give me any information regarding the application. She said my part (as sponsor) is all done and there won't be any update on my side (that she can tell me). May be I can get my hubby to call them next week or so.

But she did tell me that there is a possible 5 - 6 months wait time at the Vancouver office for the landing interview. Well, I hope we will hear about our interview appointment soon. It's be almost 6 months! (DM back in May 8, update info faxed in Aug 22 for medical exam result extension)
