Congrats on getting your AIP. I don't have you on the spreadsheet. If you are interested in being on the list, please let me know. You can PM me your timeline and related info.

Hi guys,

I applied inland in March still waiting for AIP. And i Know I have a long wait ahead of me...lol
But I was reading your posts and I was wondering if you could explain about this landing interview. Because I had never heard of it before. I knew that they might call you for an interview if they have doubts. Or it is the same thing? or does everybody get call to this landing interview regardless of your case.? and last at that point have they made a decision or this interview could still change the result?

Thank you

I don't understand that either. Why a landing interview if you're already inland????

Hi, a work permit cannot be issued to an expired passport. So if your passport is expiring soon -renew your passport before you send in the work permit application otherwise your work permit will be set to expire the same date as your passport.

Note: this is CIC policy but not a legal requirement. If you can demonstrate you have exhausted all reasonable attempts to obtain a current passport an officer can use an expired one as long as there are no issues of your identity.

Huge problem, I cant find any documents that say i lived at the same address as him in 2011. :s We just moved in in July 2011 and since my parents lived down the road, i never bothered updating my mailing address anywhere. They asked for proof from a year before we submitted our app, so that would be November 2011. The oldest thing i can find is May 2012
Any suggestions!?!?
I probably have something from when we lived in Australia the year before, but they said something to show me at the address we gave. I already sent them a rental agreement :S

Phone Bills or Bank Statements??? You can always call your bank or go in to ask for past statements I believe they might be a charge for that depending on your bank

I never switched my bank over till October 2012 and i haven't had any phone bills until this year. The only thing i can think of is my insurance company if they have any forms with that address...everything else was always kept under my dads address so that nothing ever got lost :S

I applied in Nov 2012. They recieved my bundle of joy Nov 8.

I will pm details for the spreadsheet once I can get to my computer and not fall asleep, we'll be chugging along till 3-4am again tonight..... Stupid frost warning...

I filed my application on Sep 4 2013, and I got AOR email on Sep 25 2013 , it seems the period from File received to AOR is much shorter than 2012. :P

Hey guys, especially @goldmoon!! Just an update
So as u guys remember September 11th my husband
got his aproval letter from CIC and I didn't!
There was some bk and forth with conflicting information
from the agents at the call Center. Some said that my
AIP letter was issued and sent to me others said there was no such letter
and others said its in the system but not sent!!
I call a million times!! My hubby couldn't get
why I was calling and foyer times we argued
about it! But,... I felt untill I've gotten a satisfactory answer i would
keep calling!!! So finally after 5 days and two million calls, an agent
decided to make a request for the information to be
Resent to us !!!! FINALLY after checking the mail three four times a day it finally came!!
My AIP letter whooo whooot!! Of course it was dated SEPTEMBER 11!!
Still I feel totally better! I can finally sleep at night and CIC call Center workers can
finally attend to some one else!! :) just and update
@goldmoon you need to start calling ...

Hey Jolly, Thanks for that update... so happy for you. I definitely need to start calling them because it is so frustrating checking my email every day waiting for this AIP letter. All the best my love.

"Any criminal convictions?"
"Entire family declared on your application?"
"What's your address in Canada for the PR card"

Then "initial here, here, sign here..."

Done!

Just wondering.. In cases like receiving the AIP and DM at the same time, what happens to stage 2? Do they skip that process? I'm in a wishful thinking that they do since it took them that long to process stage 1, that's 11 months, that should be enough time to verify all information?
