Hey Jolly, Thanks for that update... so happy for you. I definitely need to start calling them because it is so frustrating checking my email every day waiting for this AIP letter. All the best my love.

Can be. I think all our AIP are done, we're for some reason
are not receiving them!

Congrats jolly on getting the official AIP letter. Now you can go apply for OHIP and qualify Dec 11.

In our case we avoid the doctor at all cost, unless avoidable, to avoid paying the doc until my wife got on OHIP.

I seem to be pretty lucky,in Nova Scotia you can get your health card as soon as you mail your app in,you get 2 years coverage

Health care falls under provincial juridiction so each province set their own rules on qualifications/coverage.

My husband always jokes that y am I the one always needing
to see a doc and not him!
Going to do meds on Saturday hopefully before my bday I.

Hi Jolly, I just came off the phone with the agent at CIC. She opened the file and said two AIP letters were sent on September 19, one addressed to my hubby and the other addressed to me. I told her I've been told that but I have not received my AIP. So she sent a request to Vegreville to re send it. BTW she said it would be my snail mail not email because once an email was sent they don't resend another email.... they just send a mail in the post. How did u receive your AIP? Also does your hubby's ecas has Decision made like my husband's?

@goldmoon, yes that what we were told as well and it took about a week before
We received it! So by this time nxt week it should come in the mail.
Yes hubby Ecas shows DM and the dates they received it and September 11 date.
If u hadn't found this forum and know what to expect from CIC I think
I'll be waiting forever and would hv wasted much valuable time!!

Congrats on getting DM. I have updated the timesheets to reflect your new status.

As for how long for Etobicoke for letter, took us 8- 9 weeks before getting letter. But lately etobicoke has been sending out letters faster than normal within a week.

Yes my husband got his health card too as soon as we mailed the application. We also live in Nova Scotia. Saves the pockets that's for sure.

Yeah!!! It's my first thing to do on the Thursday morning as well "checking the update on CIC website" ;D ;D ;D

Can't wait for my turn to get AIP (if it comes with DM would be great!!!)
