There's no way to guess. CIC states that 80% of applications receive DM within 8 months after AIP. I know there are people here that I remember offhand who received AIP in April or earlier, and haven't received DM. I received DM less than an hour after AIP. CIC (I've said it before and will doubtless will say it again) is so grossly inconsistent as to be completely unpredictable.

True.. I received AIP and OWP 9th of January 2013 and since then no answer no nothing from cic..

plz plz some one answer my question...i just saw Dm on ecas. but we got no email or mail.
i am totally shocked!!!
I still have not paid the $490 for my wife pr app!!
Only one line added to ecas when i click on the second decison made right after where it says the medical resultshave been received:

A decision has been made on *******'s application. The office will contact ******* concerning this decision

In march they requested more stuff and I sent a photo copy of my wife passport(aplicant) and police certificate from home country in may 2013.. and this has been 11th month after aip...
this is the second DM after our aip what does it mean ? Should i call cic ?
is it negative or positive?? please people help me out with this....my heart in pumping hard....
That could be the end of our 6 yrs wait....

A decision has been made on *******'s application. The office will contact ******* concerning this decision

It's positive. Just send the requirements ASAP so it can be finalized. Congrats!

It sounds like a DM to me. Let me know when you get the official DM email from CIC. I will use that email/date as official date as it usually contains more specific info like where you will be landing, fees that need paid, etc.

My medical exam will be expired on Oct 5th.

It sounds like a DM to me. Let me know when you get the official DM email from CIC. I will use that email/date as official date as it usually contains more specific info like where you will be landing, fees that need paid, etc.

Hey Screech339 thank you for the input i may not have posted here alot but i do read every single post that you guys write here daily..
and trust me i learned alot from you guys here and i am really thankful to all you good people. I just called cic and the agent told me that it is a good news and i should get an official letter soon. i will let you know when i get the letter so you can update the spreadsheet.

Congrats on getting your AIP and DM same time. I notice I don't have you on my timesheet. If you wish to be put on timesheet, let me know and provide your timeline, country of origin, city where you living now.

With news of pple get DM and AIP in the same time, now I regret not submitting my finger prints and police check with my application. Congrats to all tht r getting the awesome news! Hope more comes soon!

hopefully they will make a change to at least october 20th 2012 this week. though it took 2 weeks for them to move 3 days of processing time from the most recent update....
