@ Jiggy, this sounds so bizarre but I really think we all would hear something soon for real :) When you and Quebecokie start posting about your AIPs I'll start my celebration then becuz I know mine will soon follow.

And Yes guys I'm still anxious about the week of August 22 seeing that last year late October applicants of 2011 were receiving AIPs.

@goldmoon
Yes me, jolly, Quebec and a few others submitted only 1-4 days apart. When I see Quebec and jolly start to jump,then anxiety will just knock me over because mine wouldn't be far. It's a disappointment for those who just reached 6 months or approaching it to be faced with the reality that theyll have to wait a few more months. Also, I realize that this time last year first stage was 11 months and then around September it when down to 6 months.

@isj2767
Nice to hear from you. Please visit more often. Yes, the world will know when I get AIP

Haha, yep, there seems to be a fair-sized little group of us in here in the late-October time frame. When they finally get around to our AIPs, there will be some loud and happy shouting in this thread, for sure!

Hi everyone,

I have updated the timesheets with some additional information. I added at bottom of timesheet the tally of people who landed within 18 months. This is a reflection on the ecas updated website stating 10 months for 1st stage. So you will now see both 14 month and 18 month tally based on those landed.

As a reminder, any 2012 applicants who is not on the timesheet that wished to be on the list, please let me know via postings or private message (PM) me.

Regards,

Hi everybody, my file was sent on October 2011 Aip on August 22, 2012, it will be one year this 22nd since I received my AIP. On July 2 and 11 they sent two separate emails asking for the copy of my child birth certificate and updated work history. First one I Sent on July 3 and the second one was sent out July 13, according to my tracking numbers it was received by vegreville. I called today, agent told me it wasnt in my file. How long before it shows up in my file. Oh myyyy. Its almost 2 years... my Grandfather asking me to come home to see him for the last time, but I couldnt now he's gone. My children didnt even hug him. And now my parents asking me again to come home they are sick, and weak . Oh God help these agents to do their job fast. ...

Can someone tell me. After we receive AIP and get an OWP .

Cant we just get our TRV renewed and travel?? Travelling should only be a problem before we get the AIP/OWP.?

Thank you Screech! :)

The issue is not that you are able to travel. You are free to leave canada, noone is stopping you. However it becomes an issue in coming back into Canada. If you get denied to re-enter Canada, you are screwed and have no choice but to redo sponsorship outside Canada. You are chancing yourself to get a possible denial into canada. One of the rules on inland sponsorship is that you remain in Canada for the whole duration of sponsorship from start to end. An agent at the border may get peeved at you for breaking the rules despite having TRV and OWP. Having an OWP have a stronger reason for agent to let you back in over a TRV alone.

That said, there are some people that managed to travel outside of Canada and come back without any issues. Usually these people are from visa exempt countries and/or have OWP.

There is a reason why there are 2 choices. Inland or outland. To each pros and cons. If you want to freely travel while process is in play, apply outland. If you want to stay with spouse/common law while in Canada, apply inland but stay in Canada. It seems that those who applied inland wants the outland travel benefit as well. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If inland applicants are free to travel outside Canada, then what's the point of outland application is they can travel freely without consequences.
