Hi All,

I have my landing interview on Monday next. Will let you know how it goes. Can't wait to be through this whole process. My total timeline was about 13 and a half months - well not counting the 6-8 weeks I will have to wait for my PR card.

All the best,

CanED.

hn1234 & Nairaboy, you both have been added to the spreadsheet. Patience is the name of the game. Welcome to the "Great Canadian Wait".

I received my AIP email but eCAS still says application received... so as many on here would tell you, it is up to the agent who opens your file that day to update eCAS or not... it seems that the process is getting quicker but the number of "in process" posts i've seen recently makes me think that eCAS is getting less and less up to date...
Just my thought...:)

Imo

Thanks, tht puts one mind at rest! Best of luck to everyone!

My friend isnt on this forum. He'd applied September 2012 and he got DM today. The letter said that Etobicoke will contact him shortly. He was so surprised that he called CIC to confirm and they said that he didn't need.any extensive criminal background check because he submitted one to Canadian high commission in Jamaica when he was applying for the Canadian exchange program and he didn't go back to Jamaica since he got here. Hoooooray for my best friend, Dane :D

His application date or AOR was Sept 2012?

Wow! That's fast!

Congratulations to him!

Oh wow, congratulations to your friend. Some people are just born lucky!

Your friend is so lucky..

He didn't get AOR. He got a letter which says in part "a decision has been made on your case. You have met the eligibility criteria to apply for PR under the family class. Etobicoke will be contacting you to complete the process of your application. Please bring along a valid passport

Figtoria yes that's like express. In his application he told CIC to come and sit and eat with them at their home, rather thanto sit in the office in Vegreville and cast aspersions on his relationship. He wrote a detailed romantic letter to them, plus his response to question 12 of the spousal questionnaire was about 12 pages. He sent on school records, copies of hand made cards to his wife, joint lease plus landlord's letter, insurance, joint accounts, letters and cards from friends, in laws and family, plus citations from church etc

All the best my friend, CanEd. I am happy for you. :D ;D. Pray for us waiting with excitement and anxiety
