Does anyone know how long the application is delayed if you resubmitted a document between the AOR and AIP?

The biggest disadvantages with the emiled AIP letter hit you hard when you print that pdf letter of your email and take it to an ontario service center to apply for ohip card...every centers i tried they said they want the mailed version of that letter..i ended up appealing my right which took 8 weeks..finaly they asked me to fill out a consent form so they can contact cic on my behalf. So if you got the email call cic and ask them to mail it to you as well..and make sure to tell them dont stamp the aip letter with "file copy" on the front page

well that's a problem...
where did you applied? city?

My husband got his OHIP fine with just the emailed AIP letter.

He did have to go to a slightly bigger city than our nearest small town Service Ontario center, though.

I received my open work permit today valid for two years. Only after 5 days of receiving the AIP email. :)

Congratulations!!-It must feel good!:)-Can't wait for my AIP

that's awesome! congrats on the OWP! can't wait to work....

I'm filling out the form for the OWP. Is it okay to just leave all the employer information blank? My husband can't start looking for a job until he gets the OWP.

Two Questions...

what happened to all the folks who haven't received AOR yet from the earlier submissions in 2012? did they fall off the tracking spreadsheet or are not active on the forum anymore or was there some sort of other problem with their submission or what?

and am I the only South African in inland sponsorship applications for 2012?

cheers!

I also resubmitted the one form they asked for... havent heard anything on how long that will delay the process. I'm now considering submitting an OWP as my current WP will expire in August... hopefully that'll tide me over till I get PR...

good luck

Many people are having the same issues on other threads...someone called CIC and they are saying it is just a technical issue.
Try calling through the 1-888-242-2100 number, as soon as you hear the recording hit 1, then 2, then 1 (for Permanent resident)
Have your client ID ready, and follow the steps.
This might ease your mind a little...
Nothing worse then that 'Immigration song' they play while you hold for a half hour!

We resubmitted a form that was requested a few days after AOR. That was in the middle of November and we got AIP at the beginning of January. So, not much delay I think.

I want to submit my OWP application to Vegreville.

To which Address do I send it and what do I need to put on the envelope? "process only once PR application is AIP"? or what?

Thanks!

Yes, you want them to process the OWP at the same time as your first stage approval, or AIP for your PR app.
