congrats sandylew!!! Feels good eh?

I was so worry last week because "bibace", "yffAm" and "figtoria" have got AIP and their applications were almost submitted at same time as me. I was panic if my case would transfer to local where is Edmonton, and I heard someone said that would take up to 2 years to complete stage one. I kept checking my email every few hours, but there was nothing. Finally I found out the online status shows DM, then I called CIC.

Anyway, it's a beautiful day for me today.

Congrats!! I know what you mean about stressing out while waiting for news..

I'm not sure whether I should call CIC and even if I do would it make any difference? I see you are already landed computergeek and it seems you have applied exactly 1 months after I sent my applicaion which is in Feb 6th. I wonder why my application is taking so long? They did not contacted us asking any additional document. We have used a lawyer to make sure that we don't make any mistakes when filling the form. So I don't think there is anything that they need or may be I should contact our lawyer(I hate that bugger! ) ?

It depends with the officer and your case, mine was sent on October 2011 and got my AIP on August 2011. I recieved a call from call centre agent to confirm i I recieved my AiP letter which I recieved on AuGust. He comfirmed that they are not waiting for any information or anything at all I just have to wait Untill April which is the 8th month after my AIP and I didnt recieve my 2nd letter on April 29 he adviced me to call them. We didnt hire any lawyer, CIC. Didnt ask for any additional info, its just i have to wait till they decide to send me a 2nd letter. I saw lots of people from 2012 who got their pr which is not fair from 2010 and 2011 applicant who are still waiting for decision but what can we do? What you can do is just relax and be more positive and have a lots of patience.

And about the oWp I applied after i got my Aip and recieved it on october which is 2 months. If you dont

i every one my landing interview is in the morning at 9.15am for the pass to week i was ok but now the panic is on i wish all of you a speedy process and hope you guys get dm soon i will update you guyz how the interview gose ;) ;) :D :D :D ::)

Hi guys. I think I got AIP. I have not received any email, but the online status shows DM. I called CIC today, and the representative told me it has been approved and the letter is on its way.

Congrats Sandylew! My turn is coming soon. Get ready Sandman!

I was told a while back by the people at CIC (when I called) that they were opening applications for inland spousal received OCt 17. Anyone know what date they're opening now? Also how I could find that out without calling them?

Thanks!

Sounion, if you look at our spreadsheet, (the link is in my signature) you will see that the last one opened was on January 10th and it was submitted November 16th. If all stays the same you should get your first email near the end of this month.

Wow rusty, that's awesome news!

I also got super antsy and called CIC. She mentioned that if everything is complete, then no news is good news. So I'm not sure if I should expect any word or not. ???

We'll see :D

Your sponsor will get an email. It will be an automated message. It will be addressed to your sponsor and it will read as follows.
This confirms that your application to sponsor a member of the family class has been recieved by CIC on ##### (date) on behalf of the following member ######(yourself).

I think what CIC is saying when they say no news is good news is if there is nothing else said in this email. If something else is said then it will be requesting more information or asking for something that thaey feel is missing.

The process time is a little bit delayed. Keep checking the e-case. I did not know I got AIP till yesterday, but e-case shows the decision was made on Jan 09.

When you say you check the e-case, do you mean checking the processing times? I'm a little confused...

Thanks Rusty!

HI , he means to check what's the status your application.

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=ecas

You need your client id (you can find it on any letter from CIC) or you can use the sponsors UCI number which is better because you can see both the sposors and the applicants application.
If you don't know the sponsors UCI number you can call CIC and ask them.

If you don't know the sponsors UCI number you can call CIC and ask them.

Or simply find one of your sponsors Immigration documents like PR card, landing paper ect.

If you have your own UCI, it is better use your own UCI when you talk to CIC.

I have a UCI from doing extensions for visitor's visa, but not from PR. Will PR still show up?

Yes that's should be the same , probably you won't see the sponsors part but you will see the pr application part.
(the PR application part is only useful after you get AIP)
