How long does it generally take between the medical results stage and decision made? Other people's experiences would be welcome. :)

Hi Walter,

The Doctor will send along the medical results to Ottawa and CIC Vegreville will access them through there. You will get a form stating that your wife has completed the medical and you send this to CIC yourself as a confirmation that the medical was done. The Doctor will explain the whole process to you in any case. But there is little for you to do. Just mail off the confirm.

All the best,

CanED.

I am trying to login to ECAS, but after i sign in, it says that in order for me to see my status, I need to check the box to "remove the ability for me or anyone else to view the status of my application on this website"

Am i suppose to click it? There is no other way to proceed other than Logout

Hey Guys, my Ecas now says medical received :) which i did on 3rd oct .

It sounds like a browser issue. You might try clearing your cache or using a different browser. But, you don't want to check off that box. Someone else reported an issue like this a month or so ago.

Exactly. Sounds like things are moving along like normal.
Computergeek, our case is very simple. No kids, no dependants we are both young and have never been married before. My Stage 2 started on October 10th. what do you think how long it would take to get DM? It has been 2 weeks since they have started the process.

@Danteryu

did you send your application in all at once? or the main parts with the criminal checks and medical to follow? just curious cause my wife and I were told we can send in after initial app is in so long as we mention those other parts are soon to come.

I sent everything at once: PR app, OWP app, medical, police cert and the fees for everything, including the landing fee.

I think either way works, I just did it all up front because I had a tax refund that covered all of it. :D

CIC processing times are a bit arbitrary, to be honest, so I'd be lying if I claimed to have any special insight here.

It does seem that many people complete the second stage quickly though, especially with straight-forward cases, so it would seem distinctly possible that you'll hear in another 6-10 weeks. I hope for your sake that it goes quickly.

HI I.imran,

Can you provide your full timeline? I done my medicals on September 21st and they are not showing on my ecas as yet. I have called immigration and they gave me the usual spiel that it could take up to three months for this to update!Arrrggghhhh - so frustrating!!!

Besunshine,

I got the same when I logged into Ecas at first - if computergeeks advice doesn't work - leave it a few days and you'll see the details in ECAS - not sure why this happens.

Thank you for your help! I tried changing browers and clearing the cache but they both didnt work. I will try again in a few days.

Hi CanED,

I filed sponsorship of my hubby n daughter on 30th Jan along with police certificate and proof of medical for hubby. Didnt get it done for my daughter at that time because she was jus few months old and i thought may b babies dont need medical.but with my AIP on 20th sept I recvd medical form for my daughter so got it done on 3rd october which was recvd in Ottawa on 9th oct.
I am guessing since it was a baby's check-up ,there was no blood work ,xray etc ,it was jus a physical checkup so things proceeded fast.Unlike elders where doctors take 2-3 weeks before sending report.

I never sent any form that i have completed medical for xyz person ,they themselves get notifications if the file is already in queue. That was the case with me.

Thanks I.imran,

That is very helpful and makes perfect sense. Glad that you now see the medicals on ECAS. We should have sent our meds with the application - but as it was taking 11 month to do stages 1 at the time of applying - we figured they might have expired! I sent the confirmation to Vegreville but haven't heard anything back! Anyway - hopefully they are on there soon. I hope everything goes quick for you after this.

Yes Besunshine; Try after a few days and hopefully you should see the status online!

All the best,

CanED
