Hi everyone,

Just got a quick question here, hopefully someone might have an answer for me.

At the time I was submitting my application to sponsor my wife (the applicant), she was pregnant, so we did not do a medical check yet, but everything else was done including the police background.

The baby was born in May and now that my wife already had 4 months to fully recovered.
Should we go do the medical check now? Or should we wait for AIP and have them request us to do a medical at that time?
We are at AOR = 183 days roughly (April 2 Received, Start Processing July 23).

Based on seeing some of the good news to most people here, we are hoping to get some good news in the next 4-6 weeks soon. Crossing our fingers and praying for the best.

I would do it now. Ur doctor will send it to Ontario where it will be entered into the system and vegreville will have access to it.. If u do it now there may be little or no delay but if u wait for them to request it there will probably be a longer delay.

Busybee

I see you filed your appication early in the year and may be nearing the end of your journey for PR. If you are finding difficult to keep up with the spreadsheet I would be more than happy to help. My application is only 68 days old and I expect that I will be around on this forum for awhile to come. If you would like help please PM me. Congratulations to all those people whose file is moving along. I believe that we will be there some day as well.

Aw.....Our applications were received on March 14th, they started processing on July 5th but how come I haven't heart anything??? What's an unfair!!! We did all medical and police check already, even paid all fee...Since we sent our applications out, we haven't gotten any information from CIC, even an email says they received our app or whatever! Am I an unlucky girl???

I'm wondering where are my documents now??? I'm really tired of checking ECas everyday :( God...I wanna go back home

Anw, congrats to who got AIP!!! I wanna be happy like you guys

Thanks to all who got happy for me :) . At meowmeow hang in there I know is really frustrated just be positive, my Ecas just show that they received my application and my boyfriends shows the date when application was received and when start processing just letting you know these things so don't get all caught up in the ecase , I do to sent all medical, and pay all fees, I really hope we all can look at this in the past lol.

Karito

karito and wolnila, when did u guys send ur app, ication? Omg, congrats. Im praying here, im march 22. Did u get ur ecases updated? Or just the emails? Or mail... .?

Sent in my our app march 2. And ecas was updated but no email yet but did get a letter. U r march 22 it should be u very soon

Wolnila,

Yeah i sent march 22, no ecase update yet, but havent checked the mail in a couple of days. They did however ask me to fill a client history update form to say what i did a year that i didnt include in my app. I sent the additional info right away but no updates yet...

Do u think that request of additional info will delay our applivation? U know anythin about this stuff?

I have no idea if it will delay the process or not. It was part of the pr application that was incomplete. I can't see why it would delay anything if u have already sent it in but I really have no idea. When did u send the additional info?

Do it immideiately! It will reduce the waiting time after you get AIP.

CIC just updated this morning .. they are now processing applications received as of March 10, 2012. That is one month covered in 1 week! :) Initial processing time now went down to 7 months!

Wow, they're doing an amazing job! Marchies, its your turn to shine now! Keep your finger crossed, since it can be anyday ...

Did everyone do it at a family doctor? Or there are a list of approved doctors that can do the medical report? Do we just go there and ask to do a medical report, or we need a form from the government?

Knowing that we are getting close to the 8 months mark really gets to our nerves haha.
I don't check ecas everyday, as we know that some IOs don't really update the ecas and focus more on processing the application. I check it on a weekly basis just to see if anything comes up.

Hoping for the best :)

Good morning Inlanders

Just wanted to share an experience... few months ago my husband had to leave Canada because family emergency during inland PR application (in process)..and he has returned with no problems at all … he came back through Calgary port of entry….. of course they asked what was your purpose of visiting Canada… he said visiting wife… they asked for my name, date of birth …. He also showed them returning ticket… they opened the file seen we have application in process ….they were also joking around with him… stamped his passport told him it’s valid for another 6 months…. I have to say people exaggerate on forum a little bit …. Key is being honest say how it is… it’s not against the law… I’m sure a lot of people left the country and returned with no problems… and also people that come here on forum asked all possible questions about coming back but once they came back they never came to forum and said they have returned successfully. My husband comes from visa exempt country which is probably a plus…I can see people that need visa being denied…. Just wanted to share my experience…. If anybody has more question feel free to message me.

Here is our timeline
September 09 ,2011 – Application sent
November 16 /11- Application sent back to us missing info…
November 26/11- Application received
September 07/2012 – AIP
Also my husband needs to re-do his medical exam because old one expired…. And they asked for recent police certificate.

He has medical exam on Tuesday and I’ll be sending everything the same day hopefully it won’t take long after that for DM.

Best wishes from Winnipeg!!!

Ps. Its snowing here already!

I have exactly the same question. Read somewhere in the forum from people, who got Client History Update Form, that it takes 2-3 months to be attached. But every case is different. I just hope it won't take so long. If somebody knows anything, please don't hesitate to share it.
