Hello Family

has anyone of you been requested FBI Cert from CIC for your home town and is the States? If Yes have you received yours back from there? how long did yours take to get to you?

We are still waiting on my husbands FBI Cert to receive back from the States they said their working on files received Oct 18th.. his was received Oct 30th.... this is sooo frusterating we are already 5 weeks behind on this another 7 weeks to go before we submit to CIC. and I'm due in 5 weeks...........

ahhh please CIC and STATES FBI work faster so my hubby can get his PR.... pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee for our new babys sake..

I ordered my FBI certificate and it took exact 11 weeks from the day I mailed them a fingerprint card.

When did you apply for your FBI CERT was it before the gov shut down or after? and how much time did you get from CIC to submit them back to CIC?

It was before shut down (April) and I am just looking at my paperwork.
CIC gave me 60 days to submit them. Actually I double check the dates and I received my fbi cert. in 51 days from the day I sent the request.
I remember it was 2 days before the 60 days ends and we had to fax the reports and sent originals with overnight courier and everything went well.

We are given 90 days from Oct 25th and we sent in my husbands fingers prints on Monday Oct 28th. The states received it on the 30th... We are in bad luck because of the gov shut down so still waiting on the Certificate to receive... did you have to inform the CIC that you will be delayed maybe in submitting the Certificate?

Oh Wow Congratulations jav12. happy to hear you got your PR last month... We're hoping to get my husbands PR by March the latest too because the Immigration officer who interviewed us she told us he won't get it before January for sure... and they need his FBI certificate by the 25th of January anyway so it won't be in January unless they just process it in Jan and he gets it sooner... Im just hoping and praying for that day to come soon ..

PS: the time you spent in Canada during your Inland Process does count towards your citizenship btw.. I thought I'd tell you that since now you are Permanent Residence. 1 year as temp resident counts 6 months. so all the best for the future

I have you added to timesheets. You are number 135 in the sheets when you go look for it. That number will change as other people status get DMs, Landing dates, and completing their PR status. It is an initial number so you know where to look.

We got our landing date letter in the mail today!! I'll officially be landing in Canada on Jan. 13th, 2014. Too bad I have to wait until the next year, but at least I have a date and I'm guessing with the holiday season time will just fly by anyway )

Can I get a SIN the day of my landing interview? I don't have a temporary SIN card (at least not a valid one! should I bring my expired SIN?) at the moment.

Congrats to those who received DM, OWP & PR!!!

Today is completely 6 weeks since the CIC sent out my OWP but I haven't received till now.
They told me to call them today and asked them to re-send me the OWP and I just did.
They said it will take other 2-3 weeks for me to receive it which I might get it next month.
Hopefully it won't get lost again this time I'm sick of waiting for OWP.

Thanks Screech! still terribly excited to have gotten a landing date and to be 'green'
My landing date is on the 13th of January (not the 18th like it says on the time sheet).
I'll make sure to take my expired SIN when I go. I'm always on the cautious side and bring way too much stuff LOL


Rifat - congrats on getting your landing date. You're not at the Etobicoke office by chance as well, are you?
