They are not needed to be at interview. Only the spouse and applicant and children who are landing.sounion said:do I need to bring my daughter to the landing interview? she's Canadian and the landing letter just mentions the sponsor must be there, but not our kids. the thought of having my 16mo old in a lobby for 2+ hours is daunting.

There are no dress codes in showing up. You can be in your pajamas for all they care. No difference from people shopping in their PJs. And I have seen some people in Pjs at the malls and supermarkets.sunflora said:@ sounion,
Are you going to wear nice dress in the upcoming landing interview ?? I am wondering what kind of dress is suitable for such a occasion ???

You are in for a huge disappointment if you think it is formally done. Pretend you are waiting at a bank waiting your turn in line for a booth to open. No difference really.sunflora said:With pajamas ? really?.....I thought you should wear "something formal" to show your seriousness....It seems I think too much ...
99% of the time, it will be a landing letter by regular mail.aakpawan said:Does anyone know if landing letter is sent through as e-mail or as regular mail through post. And my wife never got an e-mail from CIC but I did get AIP + DM email together at once and if I log into ecas it says Decision Made and a letter was sent to my wife and we should expect delays in mail before contacting them. So am assuming is my wife ( the sponsor) still getting a mail from CIC or what?

Thanks guys sigh!!!! and they lady from CIC call center told me am getting it via e-mail I wasn't surprised when she told me that and my OWP was sent to old address even after I updated address on ECAS and called CIC to verify address change. The lady apologized and told me it still didn't update in their system that something went wrong now I have to keep an eye for it at my old address because the lady also said it could take up to 8 weeks to reprint and send me a new one to my new address. And finally said she updated it my address in their system internally hope she is right any mails from CIC will now come to my new address, hope she's right so I don't get my landing letter sent to my old address again!!sunflora said:Screech is exactly right about that!! You are the person who is going to receive the landing letter (regular mail through the post) from CIC....the letter will be addressed to your name.
They normally would only ask you who takes care of the house, how do we pay for our expenses, who works in the house? if we live on our own or rent. how much rent. what did we do last weekend or 2 nights before... does your spouse take care of you? who does the house chores. where and what did we eat last night. who makes dinner/breakfast. etc etc.jsker said:Just out of curiosity, what kinds of questions do they ask in the interview?
Called the call center today and was asked when my application was sent in, when I explained that I landed on 30th Sept the gentleman congratulated me and welcomed me to Canada. He went off to check the status of my card and came back saying good news, card was mailed on Nov 14th...that's a big improvement on the timeline when I landed.screech339 said:I think your timeline for PR card should be based on the timeline of PR at time of landing. Anyone who landed this week would get the timeline based on this week PR card timeline of 38 days. If you can remember how long your PR card timeline was at time of landing, that would be how long you may have to wait before you call.
My wife's PR card arrived in the expected time based on PR card timeline at week of landing. Even though the PR card timeline was getting shorter as weeks went by.
