I feel exactly the same way, we did not expect this process to be such a hustle!!! we even thought about pulling the PR application so I could get study permit and just have a NORMAL life (this is why my hubby went to the MP office). It is really bad that because of this delays and all the restrictions we get from CIC our first year of marriage is really stressful.
From my point of view, it really looks like CIC is doing enough job not to be kick out but that is not necessarily what they are supposed to do. The delay are about for about 4 months that is the duration of the strike... so I really hope I am wrong but I do not have my expectations up (just in case). I truly hope they get to any agreement as soon as possible.
Best wishes! I am glad I could tell you the info I could get hope it helps you.

I'll get so excited then its like someone came and pulled the rug from under my feet and after they put it back and then pull it again. But last night I broke down. Its putting a lot of stress of my marriage and also my personal life ....things I wish not to discuss on this medium but I hope things turn around soon. New week , lets see how this one will go.
