INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

We were February 7th...and from everything I am seeing it looks like we've got our AIP. My husband was the applicant and his ECAS shows that they started processing his PR application last Monday...my ECAS for sponsoring him shows that a decision was made and a letter was sent. We haven't got the letter yet, but I can only imagine as it shows that his PR app is being processed that we have first stage I just tried calling them but they are so busy they cannot transfer the calls...hoping for a letter in the mail today!

I haven't seen anybody from February 2012 report receiving their AIP since CIC posted that they were working on February 7 applications. If there is anybody reading these threads that can report receiving their AIP after February 7 inland, or anybody having knowledge of somebody receiving, it would be appreciated.

Thank you so much for responding. My sponsorship application was received on March 12 so I am trying to figure out how close to March the CIC is. You must be thrilled. Did you by chance send a work permission application with that as well?

No, my husband is already on an open work permit and temporary resident permit that expires Dec. 31st...now we have to figure out if we need to apply for extensions and such as we weren't expecting first stage until January.
I am thinking the new bar-coded applications sped things up immensely and hopefully you'll have your decision very soon! Keep checking your Ecas We are thrilled however we haven't rec'd the letter yet so I don't think its sunk in

Perkele said that their perminant res is now in process and their app was received on feb 15

Peaches start checking ur ecas I bet u will get something this week or next they r now into march as our app was received march 2 here is the proof.

wow cic is getting fast,.... i sent my application in November of 2011 and just got my AIP month ago...

Hi. Just an update. Here's my complete timeline:

App sent : Jan. 25, 2012
Starting processing on : May 22, 2012
AIP : Sept 19, 2012
Stage 2 DM : Sept 20, 2012
Landing on : Oct 15, 2012

Mine is simple case. Spouse category, no dependents, no kids. We didn't hire any lawyer. But we sent tons of paper evidence of relationships which we have kept for 5 years during our bf-gf stage. Finally, I'm close to finish line. Just have to wait for landing date and the PR card after. The key is patience and lots of prayers. Good luck to all of us.

Does anyone know the process for applying for
Health coverage. Do u need a work permit? Or just the AIP
Letter?

A confirmation letter from the CIC on their letterhead addressed to the applicant that confirms eligibility for Permanent Residency in Canada; or a Work Permit, Visitor Record, TRP or Study Permit with a note in the Remarks section that indicates you have applied for Permanent Residence.
