@Bibace, Django and the others who have goteen DM's a hugggggeeee congratulation to all of you. You have long and patiently wait on this daunting process to end. I am happy to be a part of this family. Its just a bitter sweet feeling for us to meet here and became such good friends and will have to say good bye. My wife called CIC today and they told her maybe they'll be stuck at October 5, 2012 for another 2 weeks. What in hell is this? . Seems like CIC coffee cup is empty.

The reason OWP doesn't allow people to work in jobs involving children is that background / criminal check are in process. So until your background and criminal record checks out, you cannot work with children at least with employers that want certification first.

Does it mean that they are done with my background and criminal record checks then?

It just mean you get your OWP, they are checking your background / criminal check. So with OWP, you can't work with children since checks are not completed. OWP would contain limitations such as no working with children.

Yes. Only adknowledge that they got your application on a specific date. They will begin actual processing about 6 months after reciving application.

You can not work with children but you can volunteer to work with children?

I wonder why they mention on the owp that you cant work in sex trade but they dont mention the other restrictions.

In process: 21st Jan.
I'm waiting for AIP.
