I'm just curious as to why CIC is asking for fingerprints again since we already did it and also the friminal record check in canada.

My guess: the officer didn't see the previous criminal records check information that was submitted.

Im so confused as to how to go about doing the fingerprints..

So i go to my local police office (vancouver) and do them, then they give me the original and i send it to CIC in vergeville?
Do i need to ask the police office to send it to the rcmp in ottawa or anything?

Please help

hi every as you know i got dm on the 13 dec now waiting on my landing interview but since cbsa had my passport it had to be sent to cic
so i called my cbsa officer and he said that my passport was sent to etobicoke on 11 dec before my ecas showed dm so things are looking good so far i will update every one when i get the letter and interview date

I guess it's better to send them by urself, u never know how long RCMP takes to send them out, if i were you, i would get the copies, make sure it has all the stamps they need, and send it out by Xpresspost~ (also at Post Office), it takes 2 days to reach ver. (i submitted my suppl. proof in this way and after 1.5 week i sent out, I called CIC and they confirmed of the receipt)

My husband also was given 2 copies, so ask if they'll do that for you...You just fill out the form and mail them in. The police don't take a copy for themselves and don't need them!

Order your GCMS case notes ASAP. Search for "privacy" on the CIC website. If you are in Canada, you may order them without charge. If you are outside Canada, have someone in Canada order them on your behalf ($5 charge) and you must sign off on a form giving them permission to request your notes.

This will tell you why they are asking for an interview. But generally, an interview is about the legitimacy of the relationship.

I'm scheduled for interview on March 11 next year.. It's still a couple of months from now, but I'm already nervous! hopefully all goes well.. *crossing my fingers*
No, I haven't got AIP yet..Maybe the interview will help them to determine whether I'm getting AIP or not :'(

Finally I sent my application. It must be delivered Dec 24th. I wonder if CIC will be working...anyway it's good to know that it's only waiting game now.
Please add me in spreadsheet, although I will be more Applicant 2013.
I send OWP, medicals and police certificate all together with my application.

One question, what does "Application filed" mean?
