Hi Love_Young,

There is a really nice agent named Rene. I have gotten him twice so far. He is always nice and helpful. You do need to ask it the right way, and be nice, but persistent.

I would say something like: "It is getting really close to when I would hope to received first stage approval on my spousal PR application. Could you check my file to see if any decision has been made?"

I always pray before I call, during the call, and then give thanks afterwards.

Good news!!! I received the approval letter today. they say my application has been COMPLETED and that CIC Montreal will contact me for an interview . I guess it is the landing interview. does anybody know if they will contact me in writing or by phone? I'm really happy!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And Love_Young don't worry if you received some bad ratings from users, just don't care.

I hate to hear that about you having a hard time getting your children's medicals.
Hopefully you can get that straightened out quickly, please let us know how things go.

Also, everyone, do you think it is worth me calling today to see if they have made a decision yet?
I am thinking I won't hear anything until next week anyway but maybe they already know on there.
If I call, how do you think I should ask them?

Aww I just love all of you here. You help me so much.

CONGRATULATIONS Inlandappl. That is just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G news!
And yeah it will be a landing interview. I think it is usually by letter.
Though it isn't unheard of for an agent to call and ask if they can come in.
Can't wait to hear about when you do get the date and when you land.

He said that they are currently still processing it as of now and have not made a decision on first stage yet.
He said to wait about two more weeks but I suspect next week, what do you guys think?
Usually they over estimate. I would say the end of next week or right at the 10 month mark on the 16th. What are your guesses?

LY, I think you will hear something by next Friday as by then the date will change to about July 10-12 and we all know they work a few days ahead. I think by May 20th you will have an answer.

Does anyone have an answer for this question?

At what point does the sponsor find out that they have been approved for inland apps? Do we get notified by CIC?
