That would be because Mingming is going to be landing in Ottawa like I have. The waiting time for Ottawa is 8 weeks exactly.sunshine2012 said:Mingming,

Urrr, no, for Anna and me, landing in Ottawa, it is exactly 6 weeks from DM to landing day, DM: Oct. 9th, Landing: Nov. 21stCrazyLucy said:That would be because Mingming is going to be landing in Ottawa like I have. The waiting time for Ottawa is 8 weeks exactly.
No need to worry Mingming, your letter will be here in a week or so! CIC has been pretty punctual when it comes to their letter delivery.
Thank you very much Lucy.CrazyLucy said:That would be because Mingming is going to be landing in Ottawa like I have. The waiting time for Ottawa is 8 weeks exactly.

If you look at my timeline, mine was exactly 8 weeks. So it could be 6-8 weeks. I remember calling the CIC hotline and asking, I always got mixed responses like "It will be 6 weeks" and the next time Ill call they would say "It's 8 weeks"annabruce said:Urrr, no, for Anna and me, landing in Ottawa, it is exactly 6 weeks from DM to landing day, DM: Oct. 9th, Landing: Nov. 21st
From the same landing office? No. Other people who live in different areas in Canada, yes. Some people who get their DM, get their landing date within 1-2 weeks, but not in Ottawa.Mingming said:Thank you very much Lucy.
Did you find that anybody who got DM letter later than you and landed early than you?
This week is the 7th week since I got DM
Congrats on being done!annabruce said:My wife, Anna, landed in Ottawa today.
Quite the eventful day. We woke up with a start at 6:30am realizing that we had forgotten to get her pictures done. Both of our brains are rather scattered these days because of our baby. We raced around to a few places, but none of them were open early enough for the 9am appointment with CIC Ottawa. We arrived there with baby in tow and explained the situation. The young lady greeting us as the door was very sympathetic and took Anna aside after I payed the landing fee and took her to a room where they have photography equipment prepared. We weren't charged for the picture. (NOTE: don't count on this for yourselves. we were VERY lucky.)
We waited for short time longer and then were brought to the front to answer a few questions. Just as I was about to state that yes, I still wanted to sponsor my wife, my dear 4 month old daughter decided this would be a great time to make two very messy and loud noises in her diaper. So, messy that she managed to cover my shirt as well. After that rather embarassing moment, Anna was awarded her PR, told about the next steps to Citizenship, and then led to the nearest bathroom where she could change our daughters diaper.
A fun beginning to Anna's life in Canada as a PR. We will certainly tease our daughter about this when she is old enough to understand. ;D
