I also called CIC today coz it has been 8 months waiting time for the 2nd stage. And so sad that there is no any new updates, the agent says they are still waiting for the security part of my background check. And the guy says 8 months is just an average processing time.. I didnt know that before, coz online it says calling the call center if your waiting time is longer than it shows..

Hi guys, i went to the interview at Etobicoke Office yesterday, and I like to share with you guys, the interview was "OK", we stay together all the time, she asked couple questions, easy questions, and looked the documents i provided (joint bank accounts, Mortgage, Utility bills, extra photos), to make the long story short, my wife (the sponsor) she had a 2 years previous marriage, and divorced 5 months after she got the PR, because his ex-husband committed adultery, she caught him with another woman and she didnt accepted that! The officer asked direct to my wife's face! Do you married to get status in Canada? My wife said NOT! and she asked to my wife to explain why she divorced so fast! My wife explained to her all the issues of the adultery, everything!! she said ok, i dont have more questions, you guys can go and wait for the letter with my decision! I don't know what is gonna happen, the only thing I know is my file was transfered because of my wife's previous marriage! Have you guys know similar situation and what was the decision from them?!

Hi guys its me again! Today I received another letter from CIC with this:
After reviewing your file it is noted that we are missing the following information:
-Medical examination
-Right of Permanent Fee $490,00.
I'm not sure, if I have to do again because it's expired, or if is missing this document on my file?! Also they sent (Medical Report : Section A) with my photo, i dont know what to do!?!
Another question is if they asking for a Right of Permanent Fee that means I got approved in the second stage? Because As far I know this Fee ($490,00)has to be paid in the land day, correct?

Why is it that every time I call CIC, it says the agents are busy? I hope they are not all on vacation. I have been waiting for my 2nd stagesince November 2011. I just don't understand, if the police certificates we provide are not enough, they have to do their own security checks, why do they ask for them in the first place? Because a lot of immigration offices have closed and are encouraging people to go to the hotline. The flow of people are coming in at huge rates.

9 months 1 week after AIP and still waiting for the second stage....my last BFD was April 27 and as usual nothing was heard from CIC and the call agent says hopefully in july.......am patiently waiting. 8)
