Ok update here, I got the landing interview letter from Etobicoke CIC today and it's scheduled on June 12. So it's faster than I thought it would take. 8) Hopefully I can get my new SIN card too. Anyway, it will be done eventually after 30 months waiting..

I also got DM on May 17th last Friday. And I was just traveling back to Canada yesterday and the CBSA officer at the airport showed me his computer that my status is already PR! :D I think our MP did do some push in the end as my husband kept calling her in the past whole month. Anyway...

I can't handle the pain of endless waiting anymore in Canada so I applied TRV last week to Ottowa, unless my case will be done in this month else I will leave for home for a while coz I haven't been back for almost 3 years and didn't expect the process would take so much long for me.. :'( :'( :'(

Same, still waiting...called CIC and told me the only missing thing is still CSIS's background check.. :'( :'(

Thanks and ya they all speak crap, I called in Oct and they said it would be finalized in the next couple of months...our waiting time is not time in their eyes.. >:( >:(

Yes they got it in the beginning of Oct., so its just 10-15 days after I was done the medical.

why can't your husband do the landing at the border to save some time?

They sent me client update form 6 months ago and it was attached to my file in 3 weeks. Then after that they started my CSIS and now they requsted medical again. My mp will find out for me this week if this background check has been done or not. And I hope they won't request another police...

There won't be delay in your application if you order the foss notes. And fill in the form here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp You can email it to them to save some time, usually you will get the notes back in 30 days since the day they get your form.

On my foss notes it also shows my medical has been extended to Nov.1, but they just requested another one now at the 11th month after AIP. I read this from CIC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob423.asp and hopefully our cases are like that. ::)

Congrats to Lucy!! Does CIC really work on weekend too? My redo meidcal notice is also shown Sept 8th online. I thought I should get dm too according the timeline.. sigh..

I saw on E-CAS today saying they just sent me the medical instructions AGAIN! My lastest foss notes shows it has been extended 1 more year since last Nov, but now I still have to redo it! After waiting for 22 months not transferring to local office, CIC is trying to kill all my patience in Canada...

My MP told us today I still have to wait coz they are doing the CSIS right now and due to the big vacation season it will be slow at this moment although it has been more than 20 months. She also said my next bf date is Sept. 28, but she said she would check for me again in a month. What can I...

I am still waiting too. 9 months after AIP... :'( :'( I got the 2nd fossnotes and it only shows I got my medical extended a year but the criminality and security part are still blank. We contacted our MP this monday and hopefully it will help a lil bit.

I also called CIC today coz it has been 8 months waiting time for the 2nd stage. And so sad that there is no any new updates, the agent says they are still waiting for the security part of my background check. :( And the guy says 8 months is just an average processing time.. I didnt know that...

I don't have the "criminal parents" issue, but I also really want to know what CSIC is check exactly in the background part? Why some people can be waved while some others have to wait for the background check sooo long..
