It's really hard for us. My husband and I are wondering if there are really something to wait for. This is so frustrating. Let's see what would be the jump of processing time on Thursday.

jeymi, haven't you got AIP already? what did you see in your ecas? did you call them and found out anything?

Gigi, call CIC I think there is some paperwork you can get, not for sire about that I heard something before. Jurjen if my spouse had an owp and he is from a visa exempt country can he leave and come back?

Thanks for the info. Do you think if I go to the local office they will tell me about this "glitch"?

hello guys,
i write to just encourage you all to stay strong, positive and focus on this immigration process.its sometimes so hard to believe that they are moving very slow and the processing times are going up . i pray and hope that ,they dont extend the processing times to 11-12 months.hopefully there will be another jump this week.late novermber applicant its your turn to smile and be jumping ;D ;D ;D ;D.for your AIP OR BOTH STAGES.

For us waiting for the second stage i say its will soon come and its not over until its over.

have a blessed week and stay focus.

Hi Inlanders (June 2010 applicants)
Theresa_Lynn, CEC, GiGi,

Yes what is this "glitch" they told me to call them after one month...........

It is just so frustrating that the timelines are going up. Today is Nov.8 and they are working on Nov.23. That means it is an 11.5 month wait now. Soon it is going to be 1 year. I hate CIC.

Hi Babyhangon, no update on ecas. Instead of calling the CIC, I found my self reading this forum. :)
Let us see what abisehiyo got from calling CIC before I call them. ::)

Hey all,

I was rejected from applying for OHIP even after i showed them my PR approval letter (I didnt bring my sponsor letter). The lady mentioned that there should be T-------- code on the letter which i have none besides my client ID. They said they do process new OHIP application but they just cant it do it for me. I did bring my ID and bank account statement with me tho... Anyone able to advise?

Thanks...

I will call tomorrow to try to find out about this "glitch". Hopefully is only one month and not until february.

I am not sure, but she said they has re-request them in may. Some system problem. This is what I was told.

Angtao, dont get discouraged, every case is different, trust me on this... you'll see how fast our applications are going to go in comparaison with Inlanders 2010.. in fact, if you look at their process time from reception of their application to "in-process", they have almost 2 months more than we have... your application took 2 weeks only to leave the mail room... so do not get discouraged ok.. hugs

Do you have AiP or not?
If so: do you have your OWP? If not: you should get it. Then in Mexico just request a new entry visa, if you can't use your previous one.
Yes I agot AIP on April. I will requeste the OWP but I'm not sure if I will get the visa entry when I come back. I enter as visitor and oversatayed until my husband submitted the sponsorhip application.

I'm afraid I will not be able to come back.

I was thinking on sending CIC aletter regarding this matter so maybe they can expedite my case. Do you think that may work?
Overstaying is always a bad idea when filing for any other applications later. What you must do first is check out if you can apply for "restauration of status". I don't know this application at all, but I know it excists for these cases. It means that if they find out you've been overstaying, they'll not cancel any other applications. Don't apply for the OWP yet. CIC might think you're outside Canada right now. Demanding your OWP might complicate things.

Yes, for visa exempt visitors, the OWP stays valid when re-entering.

Or Should i request FBI clearance and Police certificate now and send them to CIC to attach with my application ?

Dont know what to do with singapore COC clearance as I have to wait for appeal letter from CIC? Should I approach CIC and ask them to send me the letter own my own or wait to hear from them?
If you haven't gotten your US police certificates, I think you should get all of them right away and send them to CIC as soon as possible.
As for Singapore: send a letter to CIC PR deparment asking them to send you a letter for the Singapore office as soon as possible to limit any delays. That's all you can do, after that you'll have to await CIC's next move.

Tip for people that need to call CIC a lot: if you can program your telephone with the 'pause' option, you could program your CIC entry with: 18882422100PP111100 (two times 'Pause', or reprogram the Pause timer, because the CIC computer is slow picking up the phone). See your phone manual on how to program a Pause. On phones that run on the land line, there's often a big pause button you can press.

Jurjen:

I have send them all of my police certificate except singapore. The one I sent were beyond 3 months time frame. Since they have mentioned on their website that by the time you submit application, your police certificate should be within 3 months time frame.

How should I get to CIC PR department ? Any suggestion?

Do you mean we can leave Canada once we get AIP even without 2nd stage? I submitted my application end of April 2011, i dont come from a visa exempt country but my temporary visitor's visa does not expire until October of 2012 and i was granted multiple entry.
