**If I didn't add you please list the date your app was received, started processing, when you received AIP/DM, what date you are landing and city your landing in (fill in what applies) and I will add you ASAP. If I messed up any of your data please inform me. I sometimes make errors so forgive me. Also, if it appears that your AIP date is different it is because by the time e-Cas updates you on it, the decision had been made 2 days before that. So that is what I put. Please confirm with your AIP letter date if you feel it is wrong and I can correct if it is.**

I do have a question for annabruce and isabela.
annabruce: I noticed in your signature it says you got AIP on Sept 15, 2011 but you posted about the e-Cas update on Sept 21, 2011. Most decisions are made two days before the update is posted so I put your AIP date as Sept 19th. Could you please tell me how you got the Sept 15th. I can change it back if that is the actual date the decision was made on.

**If I didn't add you please list the date your app was received, started processing, when you received AIP/DM, what date you are landing and city your landing in (fill in what applies) and I will add you ASAP. If I messed up any of your data please inform me. I sometimes make errors so forgive me. Also, if it appears that your AIP date is different it is because by the time e-Cas updates you on it, the decision had been made 2 days before that. So that is what I put. Please confirm with your AIP letter date if you feel it is wrong and I can correct if it is.**

I do have a question for annabruce and isabela.
annabruce: I noticed in your signature it says you got AIP on Sept 15, 2011 but you posted about the e-Cas update on Sept 21, 2011. Most decisions are made two days before the update is posted so I put your AIP date as Sept 19th. Could you please tell me how you got the Sept 15th. I can change it back if that is the actual date the decision was made on.

isabela: You posted a few pages back about landing soon. What date was this and what city?

They usually refer to partners and children. Your partner is probably your sponsor, so don't include her. If you have children (from any partner), include them in the form. If you don't have children, keep it blank.
You might want to call CIC to double-check.

And yes: spousal sponsorship falls under family sponsorship.

i would add also that if you have any canadian children you don't need to "list" them in the application

so, as Jurjen and Inlandappl said, I shouldn't list my parents in Generic form (I'm the main applicant). I just list my non-Canadian descendants if I have.
And if I don't have descendants, I properly should skip "IMM0008DEPENU AdditionalDependants" form too.
Please please confirm me one more time for sure. I'm so confused because the instruction said that:

Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not.

I considered my parents as my family members, that's why!

By the way I just thought it was cool but I counted up that there are 128 members on our chart. Woohoo.

18 out of 128: Are currently waiting on an answer for AIP
110 out of 128: Already have an answer for AIP stage
109 of those 110: With a decision being made have confirmed AIP approval
3 out of the 110: With a decision for AIP were transferred to local office without AIP
2 out of the 3 transferred confirmed AIP approval after interview, 1 still hasn't got back yet

Just wanted to share that because it seems amazing to me. So far, I think I can say that your odds of being transferred (out of this group) without AIP is 3 vs 107 that get AIP approval without transfer. But the chances of getting AIP approval look real good. So when in doubt or worried just look at our chart. That should cheer you up.

This is a wonderful statistics LY. Thanks so much and these numbers encourage me a lot though, LOL.
I hope applicants of 2011 won't have to wait for AIP up to a year yet.

Okay, finally I could borrow a cell phone to call CIC since my cell didn't work from yesterday

I call CIC and they told me exactly like Jurjen, I don't need to fill my parents into that Generic form.
That's why I can skip Additional form too.

That's right. If you can't fill anything in under a question, answer with: "Not applicable". Otherwise there's a risk that they'll return the application to you if they think that you "forgot" to answer the question... And that'll cause big delays!
The same for the document checklist: if you don't need to use certain documents, write "N/A" where you can't put a check mark for the unnecessary document.

So you don't fill in your parents. A family, according to CIC, are parents with children. You are a part of your parents' family, but your parents aren't part of YOUR family. Since you are the principal applicant, it's about you as a parent and your children. So unless you have a lot of kids, you don't need to include IMM0008DEPENU.

/edit: okay, you already checked it out with CIC. So that means you got your answer and you can finalize your application: good luck!
