I am in the same situation, I have dependent outside Canada whom I included into my inland application. May I ask how long after you get AIP , they contacted the dependent for further documents?

did you submit your dependent medical when you first send your application?

Hi I just want to share my experience although you were not asking me, hope it won't bother you.

I have a independent outside Canada too, I listed him on my non-accompany family member but he is not applying PR this time.
I sent his medical prove this July and I haven't seen it updated (for additional doc) on E-cas. Before his father taking him to do the medical, I actually sent emails/call CIC to see if my kid was allowed to do it advanced. However, I got different answers from CIC.
Therefore, I decided to take the risk for losing CAD$150. For me, if it could save me several months waiting then it's worth.
Myself haven't heard anything from CIC for the first stage and I hope I can get some good news within 2 weeks.

Both sponsor and applicant get a letter.

that what I thought, but I the sponsor never got a letter, we send in our app March 2010, started processing June 2010, the applicant got her AIP letter Dec 2010, but I never got a letter as a sponsor, the CIC agent(called twice with the same question) both told me don't worry since AIP is issued that means the sponsor is approved? are they right or not? does the sponsor approval letter say anything important?

since Dec 2010's AIP letter all we got was a request to update our info form(education, address, work etc) for the previous two years, and we mailed that back in May, and on our ECAS it says received requested info Aug 13, so I assumed they processed that.

Last question if anyone can answer it once DM is made I know Vergeville forward the file to the local office, but when the ECAS changes to DM does that mean they just transferred the file or does it change to DM when the local office process it? I know there is a long long wait for Ottawa.

Lyrical, hi there I am a woman dear. It hasn't been update since Sept 5th but I was actually working on the update this very minute.
Could you perhaps erase the chart portion of your quote? I don't like to have the chart back to back. It looks crowded if it is.

Okay so I have a question while I am updating the chart. I would like all of your participation.
I have noticed that there is quite a few members on the chart that have gave info and not updated in a very long time. Maybe they left the site, I am not sure. In order for the chart to not only look nice but keep it accurate and less confusing, I was thinking about erasing these members from the chart for now. I could add them again if they come back to give info but for now it seems they won't.

So I made an online poll and before I post the updated chart I would like for you to vote on it.
The poll is on whether you guys would prefer that I erase the members with no updated data (meaning no AIP/ PR data) or not.

hey guys, please help me this one. I know it's a little stupid question but I don't know the answer.
In this form: IMM0008ENU_2D Generic Application Form for Canada, asks for my family members even though they won't accompany to Canada.
I have my dad and mom back home, should I list them here?
I already listed them in my form but I'm confused after reading section 5.10. from this link:

If I list them in my app, do they have to get Police certs and medical check from my country to attach with my PR app?
That link was for Family class, however, I still read to know and now I got confused if spouse inland is the same ;D
If I don't list them in my app, is that true that I can't sponsor them later (let's say 10 or 20 years later)?

I can't find the form you listed. You have to realize though that the generic form is just that "generic". Most classes that apply for PR have to use this same form. Could you send a link to the form though so I can see it first? I just want to look back over it again before I give too much advice. They may have changed things. I do believe you list your parents though and no they do not need a medical or background check.

Also, you might want this manual instead for inland processing procedures.
