No waiting period? That is great!!!! The letter said they are "pleased to inform me that my application is complete and the Scarborough office will contact me..." I did ask the call centre the waiting time for that office and they said 3 mths. As we all know, we have to take what they say with a grain of salt. Thank God, I got my interview in about 4 weeks. You can call them though. Like you said, your office is not a busy one so you may hear from them soon. I am sooooo happy for you girl. I remember when we ore on the other board we were both planning on applying outland but at the VERY last minute, I decided on inland and then I saw that you did too. I remember people giving the usual speech about the downsides to inland but I just went ahead and have no regrets. More celebration for you on this long weekend for you!!! 8)
Yeah no waiting period. Yay! Thanks for sharing what they wrote to you. I think the most I will have to wait is maybe a month but I wouldn't mind that wait at all. And yes very true, you have to take what they say with the grain of salt but I may call anyway. Maybe I will get someone who actually knows. Thank you for being happy with me. I love being able to celebrate with you. Yeah I changed my mind the last minute too but I had been back and forth for a good while. But as I have always said our decision to apply inland was more personal and it really worked out for us. I don't regret it at all either suenim. Not a bit. I have got to be here with my hubby the whole time and things have been piecing together just as I had hoped. And yeah, I know what you mean by the speeches, I am glad I listened to my heart though. Glad it worked out so well for the both of us. Yeah definitely more celebration. I haven't even gotten used to the AIP yet, lol, now I have to have it set in that I will be a PR soon. WOW...oh WOW! Lol. I think we are going to celebrate it all on Saturday on our anniversary! :D

It doesn't hurt to apply for the SIN as soon as you get the work permit since you can work right then. I know your local office may be quick but since you already have the WP on the way... if you want to start working ASAP, then apply for the SIN. Congrats again!!
I second that! If you want to work right away: get the SIN with your OWP. Even though your interview will be soon, often you need to wait a few weeks extra for you PR card, before you can get your non-temporary SIN. Just inform your employer as soon as your SIN changes.

Okay thanks for that advice. I will definitely get the temporary one first then. :)

I know I can't either. So quick too after AIP approval. I haven't even had a chance to let it soak in yet. Between our 1st wedding anniversary on Saturday, AIP approval, and getting Decision Made, I am just on overload with excitement. And not to mention going to be so busy. I haven't even had the chance to plan what to do on our anniversary yet, lol. Oh well it is definitely worth it. :p

Huge hugs and kisses to you too xoxo

Hey LY - As soon as you get your OWP - I would apply for health care - I know here in BC you have a 3 month wait before you are approved so you may as well cut your wait time down as much as possible - as soon as you have your PR card you can then provide that to them to ensure their is no expiry date on your health care card
We don't have a wait time hear in NL. But I am definitely going to at least get my temporary SIN and healthcare card now before PR. At least if it takes a couple months I can still work and get healthcare you know. Glad I asked though to get opinions. That always helps me reconfirm what I was thinking about doing.

Thats awesome no wait time. I did have health care whilst on my working permit but when I then went on implied status unfortunately my cover ceased. Apparently it may still be ok - but I just dont want to take the risk and go to the doctor and end with a bill I cant pay!!
Temporary SIN is the way to go - I have a temp SIN number with is a 920 - thats how employers can distinguish you to a perm. resident. When you apply for a job just let them know the permanent SIN isnt too far away. You go into the office and you will get your number right away with a piece of paper and then the card is mailed about 3-4 weeks later if I recall correctly.

YAYAYAYAY L_Y!!!! Awsome!!!I`m spinning in my living room after reading you! ;D
I`m so happy for you, girl! You entirely deserve it! They were just playing with you- they must have known when you got your AIP that you were going to get 2nd stage- 2 days, wow!
Now it is time to relax and focus on the job hunting! Best of luck with that, I will give you a couple of useful sites on Facebook for the resume writing.

After all I say, everyone who said we are crazy to do inland were wrong, it may have been faster the outland way, but overall 11 month or so is not bad at all.:) Hugs to you and have a great celebration!

Yeah it is definitely awesome there is no wait time. I am not sure if I get the healthcare number right away or not but the most I would wait it a week for it to come in the mail. And the SIN takes 10 days to come in the mail according to the site. Thanks for all the tips.

CONGRATULATIONS LY! You must be over the moon.

AIP and 2nd stage approved 2 days later is amazing.

I pray that they keep on jumping 12 days at a time but I don't think so for this week. They have 1 less day to work with.

So happy for you though!

By the way just so I am clear, my "decision made" does mean I got approved right? I just want to really confirm it.
Did everyone else's say the same thing as mine that got approved?

THANK YOU!!! :-* We are both over the moon for sure. I am very satisfied. And it is nice to know that my application wasn't delayed for no reason, you know? I think they saw they were running close on time so they just gave me AIP for the time being but they must have really thought it was close and just kept working on it anyway then got results on Friday giving me decision made. I also pray that they keep up with a fast timeline too. We already know they are 6 days ahead though so that is good news so maybe they are past that already. Keep your head up. ;)

P.S. Thanks for the adorable party smileys. So cute!

CONGRATS LY!!! thats amazing news! ;D

As always, I have a question. I wish CIC stop with the riddles. The latest one is that on the first page when u log in Ecas, it changed from "In Process" to "Decision Made". But when i click on it, there is no new addition there. Its the same infor as it was before, the last sentence being that they have recieved the requested info.

WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN??? :-\ :-\ :-\
