Thank you for your advice. That is all very true. I will try to keep positive and smiling but somedays it is hard as I am sure you know.
I just hope that all is normal with the application and they haven't lost it. If all is good with it then I will be willing to wait the extra time for sure. Hearing your good news always keeps me positive. Thank you for that.

I doubt that I mean I just think it is with my application. I mean even the other member who applied July 15th got a request for documents on May 9th. They would have been finished by now if they didn't have to mail off another document. That's the only reason they are still waiting like me. And me I haven't gotten news of anything. So no it wouldn't make sense to change the processing time up just yet because most are still processing under 10 months so the 10-11 month would be a lie. See where I am getting at? I am just starting to get afraid that I won't ever get news or that my application is lost. I know it is only 2 days over the "normal" time but everyday over that makes me worry more and more that something is bad with our application. Thank you lovely20 for always being here to listen. You won't ever know how much that means. :-*

I always try to remind myself that patience is a virtue, but I'm starting to think that maybe I haven't acquired that virtue!

Haha dear I don't think I have acquired the virtue either. But please dear don't let my situation cause doubts to your own. You are still in that normal processing window. I am only over by a couple of days so it really isn't THAT bad just feels it. Like hubby always says, "No need to worry unless given a reason to." Hopefully after all is said and done, I can finally acquire that virtue. What do you say? Lol.

I completely understand - I am one of the lucky ones who is allowed to work while waiting for my OWP / first stage approval (I arrived in canada on a working visa) - which has since expired but I am on implied status - all day today I keept looking just for a date update (from you & the CIC website!!) - I know I am still a good 3 - 4 weeks wait but first stage approval means I can then start to move on in my life and have a sense of finally seeing an end to all the emotional roller coaster that goes along with the residency process.

Every day I keep looking on this forum hoping that you have received the news we all want to hear. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and I know the piece of paper you are wanting will arrive very soon

Thank you ardmac for being understanding too! Very uplifting. I guess I just feel not only disappointed for me and hubby's sake but also for everyone else's here because I can't provide them with any news. I hope this both ends happily and soon for us all. Thank you abc3896! ;D You are one of many on here that help keep my spirits high through this. I hope I can do the same for you.
And to answer your question: No, it should have no affect on the result of the application. Sponsors are just not allowed to receive social assistance other than disability or have filed for bankruptcy. You should be fine. The worst they can do is ask your girlfriend that she provide proof she can provide for you or that you have a willingness to provide for yourself if needed but even that is a slim chance of being needed. Don't worry about it.

Hi Inlandappl. That person isn't on this forum or a member of the thread. I found that out by looking on trackitt.com.
I think it slowed down because of the elections being over too. Thank you, I am staying strong. Everyone here, my family, and hubby are all keeping me strong. I can't wait for my news though. I want to be able celebrate like you guys have done too. Lol. Thank you for the good luck wishes. They are much appreciated.

Once you get approved, are you going to work full time or go to school? I think you said that you were around 21 yrs old from what I remember. Did you finish college or university back home?
