As for me I was supposed to do my landing interview today. Went there had everything ready. Called in the interview room and the first thing the lady said "before your have a seat.... Blah blah blah" they can't do my landing interview today cause my medical was expired 7 days ago. And they just emailed Ottawa to ask for an extension for the medical. And it will take them a month or so to reschedule my landing interview again. I just am stressed right now cause I have plans of traveling in the next few days. But i guess will stick the plan. I will be traveling outside Canada. The lady said should be no problem cause I have my work permit just need to get reentry visa. Oh well good luck to everyone I have to forget about my papers for now. Will be on vacation for a month. I will keep u all posted if I get back to Canada or have process again cause they refuse my entry back to canada

I did not know the processing is different for Quebec, but I hope you will hear good news this week....Could you call CIC and ask them about your case, cuz sometimes is not updated fast enough!

Thanks Mona Barca, I'll probably call CIC at the start or the middle of next week to see if something is happening. yes quebec process is different, more bureucracy and money.....imagine that cic sends you a letter in the first place allowing you and asking you to send another application to the quebec government where you have to sign between the other papers that you commit yourself to learn french....well I'm learning it....pay 253 dollars and then sign another paper where you give very basic info about yourself. then the quebec government sends you another letter saying that you are approved(CSQ) (I haven't heard of any family application being refused by the quebec government) and then again the quebec government
tells the federal government that quebec has approved you so that the process can continue........ :

So finally I got landing interview, and now Canadian Resident! I got my new SIN starting with 3 and my medical card (Quebec) already processed it
but I still miss my PR Card so I can't travel yet, could you please let me know your timelines regard to PR Card.
They officer told me 6 weeks, so I bought my tickets exactly 6 weeks after, by June 11th I am flying out of Montreal yuuuupiiiii.

But I hope it's a real yupiiii and not a problem, I hope I get it before June 11th.

Asta mentioned to me before she received it exactly after her 6 weeks.
Please BB, SssS and all other could you please let me know about it?

Sorry I don't know anything about landing at the Vancouver office but I am sure someone can help you. If not, maybe you call CIC and ask what the average time for a landing appointment is. I look forward to hearing the day are going to land.

hey Love_Young! thanks for that. i called cic this morning, and they said that average wait time can take up to 3 months :S yikes!! oh well! so until then i'm still on implied status!! i resent my OWP application addressed to Team Leader OSS and attached proof that i sent it earlier in february. the agent confirmed that it's now in line waiting to be processed. he also mentioned that if ever i get PR first, i'd automatically be refunded the $150 OWP fee. hopefully that's helpful to anyone here!

Thanks TL. MIL had to have her other ovary removed. She wasn't feeling too good today.
Hubby had his appointment today and not such good news on that part. PM if you like and I will talk about it there.
However, doctors urged him to stay off work for a week (gave him a note for excuse which we just dropped off) and told him to really focus on improving his health. Hubby is going to look into going on EI for sickness benefits. His health recovery is crucial right now so that is our main focus right now. Glad to hear that your dad is being discharged. I hope he has a very special birthday.

I am glad you got an answer from them for an estimate but hopefully it is much faster than that. Hopefully PR landing date will be soon. Good luck and keep us posted.

Oh yeah, I got my second set of FOSS notes today. Funny thing is all I read was "Citizenship and Immigration Canada" and my heart started racing then I realized it was my FOSS. Lol, at my mind right now.

They didn't say much though except all the times it has be "transferred from registry", when they received my FBI clearance and when they attached it, and also just that they requested RCMP checks on Jan 28, 11. I wonder why it is taking so long for that to be finished. Anyway, I need to go and get some sleep because I have been up for almost 24 hours (haven't been able to sleep lately). So I am sorry if my typing doesn't make much sense right now. I will talk more after a good rest. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. Looking forward to more good news.

Its immigrations obligation to process all application equally and your application is process same as other applicants. though, We received all your documents, your file is completed, there will not be any delays and unwarranted in your application, your application is under review by officials for the final dicesion.

I hope I get the decision inthe soonest.

LOL LY, I recommend that at the end of this process, you apply for an immigration officer position at CIC ;-).

Funny thing is, I have actually considered that at one point but I just don't know if I would be cut up for it. What do you think?

Hmm...I don't know I mean wow so many of seem to want me to be one though. That has to be a good thing, right? Lol. Maybe I should. Don't you have be a citizen for it though?

PR is an emotional roller coster and one little date can just make you want to break down and totally ruin your week as it only updates once a week! This forum is great for support as you are right NO ONE else understands, No I can't get a job, No we can't go out all the time as it costs money and we are living on one wage, No I can't take courses as I don't have AIP or PR yet, No no no!!! Arghghghgh People don't understand that as much as you want to do this stuff, legally you are not allowed to and none of us here are people who would rather sit at home and do nothing.

LY I know it is hard and the waiting tears you up inside. It will get better, trust me and you will get there, we are all behind you and also behind each other which makes this time bearable..

Hey, you will have AIP soon enough in your hot little hands and this part of the journey will be over, I know it is hard to see it now but you will get there.

I actually really hope so but I won't hold my breath just yet. It would be a HUGE relief though. Everyone I have looked up about similar situation with FOSS has been approved for both so we will just have to see. I am thinking about starting to call on next Friday to see if they have made a decision or at least finished my RCMP check. I don't think I will be hearing anything next week but I think around May 9th and on I should. I hope we both get approved Inlandappl.
