Do you have to sign up for e-cas?

I wish I could log in, so frustrating, but today is my birthday and I want to have a good day. My hunny has things planned but he is not letting me know what they are!

I can log in now!!! I know this seem silly but i have been trying for months now. Thanks LY, i read your thing and i went and tried and it worked woooohoooo! What an awesome birthday present. My e-cas shows as follows:

We received your application for permanent residence on June 18, 2010.

We started processing your application on August 27, 2010.

We received the requested information on November 12, 2010. Thank you for providing the information. (We sent proof of birth for my son)

We received the requested information on March 10, 2011. Thank you for providing the information. (Client history update form)

So Happy!!

No you don't have to sign up for e-Cas. Most people are supposed to be able to sign in once their application started processing but it seems like from those that applied in June and later weren't able to. I signed up for the e-Cas tracker. It emails you whenever your e-Cas becomes active and of any changes made. Hopefully my next update will be AIP. ;D

Today would have been my grandpa's birthday as well. He was like my father since mine hasn't been involved in my life.
Everytime I mail off something to CIC I seal it with a kiss and a prayer. I ask my grandpa and God to put into the right hands.
With my first extension it was approved on our then dating anniversary, then my second one was approved a few days before my birthday, and now the first I sign in just happens to be on his birthday. I truly believe they are watching over us and that this was no coincidence. Today is a good day all around for everyone.

Thanks! Yes I feel VERY relieved! I hate calling the call centre. Now I can look myself. Hopefully we can hear some good news soon.

kiwikris, I think I am already addicted. Now all I want is that AIP. Ahh...hurry up please! Lol.
I am hoping you will get your good news soon. Things are looking up for all of us here that is for sure.
suenim, I was driving myself crazy that was the reason I ordered FOSS notes just because I needed proof of something...anything!

This week isn't over, there has to be more good news coming soon, I just know that there is.

I check email this morning and received msg from Ecas tracker......I can log in now (I can't stop screaming until now when I noticed some of you have the same thing happened too)

OMG wow just wow! That is all I can say.
e-Cas may just blow up today. I am so happy for all of us woohoo!
It may not be AIP but darn if isn't still good. Just a taste of the excitement I will feel soon hopefully.

Am I an idiot...I for some reason can not log-in to the ECAS tracker....how are you entering your names?
Family Name/First Name?

Does it include middle names (I am looking at some of my other immigration documents and they have both names on them.

So frustrating...i want to see something too!
