Good evening,

I have a question regardless Visa application while waiting for the first stage approval of me as a sponsor. We applied for both, PR and OWP( received it in September). So my question is that, if we need to leave the country( let's say for vacation) what kind of visa does my wife need to apply for?

Thanks in Advance!

You are advised not to leave during Inland as applicant can be denied entry, regardless of OWP and then the application is cancelled. If you want to vacay outside of Canada, should have applied outland. There is no visa that your wife can apply for that will guarantee her re-entry.

but isn't it true that any non citizen can be denied entry? Meaning that you still can be denied to re enter Canada while holding, for instance, study permit. All CIC says, is that in case of denying re-entry, the application for sponsorship will be cancelled.

Yes. But at least applying outland, if you are denied then your application isn't cancelled. If your wife got denied with an inland app, it is cancelled and there's no appeal so the whole application needs to be done again.
