NooMay

Ten posts.

Call CIC today (for 30th time) and have been told my application has been transferred to local CIC-Etobicoke without AIP on February 08, 2013.
CIC-Etobicoke will contact me for an interview.
I sent my application September 20, 2011.
Is anybody knows waiting time for this interview? It's been 8 months already...:(

I got AIP in November. But my file got transferred last month to Vancouver for further assessment. I live in Toronto. Is that common.

Have you ordered your electronic case notes yet? If not, do so - it should explain to you why they transferred the file to a local office.

Since you are in Canada and asking for your own information, you are making a "privacy act" request and thus there is no charge. It takes exactly 30 days for them to respond and the notes will probably be 30 days old.

request under the Privacy Act to Citizenship and Immigration Canada on 04/07/2013 and request under the Access to Information Act to Citizenship and Immigration Canada on 07/07/2013. I have been order both because I didn't know which one to order

Access to Information = "You are requesting information about someone else"
Privacy Act = "You are requesting information about yourself"

In either case, the person making the request must be a Canadian Citizen, PR or present in Canada.

You'll get back the same information I suspect.

Will see, I am expecting notes on Aug. 06 :o

Hi guys, been a while since I last posted. Quick recap, Application receives Jan 2012, got AIP Sep 5th 2012. File transferred to the local Montreal office for further review. Havent heard a word from Montreal, they have had my file for 9months now. Finally spoke with a call center agent who gave a damn. She said, she will send the Montreal office a message. Anyone else had a call center agent send the local office a message ?...is it helpful?.....do they get a move on as a result?........anyone?

Mine was transferred to vancouver. After AIP. I live in Toronto. Zion have u heard from Vancouver office

My file was transferred to my local office in Montreal.....Vancouver as noting to do with it. Hopefully we will ear something soon enough

Hi everyone!

Application received December 28th, 2011 // AIP September 18th, 2012 // DM and file transfer to Montreal's office July 12nd, 2013

I just got a letter from Montreal's office dating August 5th, 2013 and it had a sheet with all my documents' information to be verified and confirmed and a request for 3x4 pictures. It says they will contact me to schedule the landing interview when they receive the pictures and confirmation back.

Can't wait!

Hi Zion!

I am in Montreal too, but it seems our cases are being processed differently. The letter I received stating they transferred my file dates the same date DM on the CIC website.
CIC call centre agent told me that Montreal's office is one of the busiest. I believe and I hope you will hear from them soon.
I'll keep you posted.
