Hey Hazard....nothing has changed...File is still at the local Montreal office, apparently they r conducting background checks. Montreal received my file on the 31st of October, 2012 and no word since. I received AIP on the 5th of September 2012. According to a call centre agent, once a file is transferred to the local office then the processing times listed on the CIC website go out the window.

This feeling of stress and anticipation is killing me.....What's new on your end?......any updates

Mine got transferred to my local cic etobicoke office. Vegreville had transferred it to BRO Vancouver in June this year. All my checks are completed but they said my daughter's medical is still in progress.

I'm still here waiting patiently. I called cic just for humour, I swear they have no clue which direction the wind is blowing. I heard etobicoke office is so backed up and they are trying to clear most of the files. Oh well.. Just have to find a cash job to keep my focus, I have no choice but to. I miss my family but I know immigration won't let us wait forever I'm just counting the time. It's our lemon so we have to make lemonade..

aw initial assessment waiting is back at 10 months of waiting!! till now havent heard from cic vegreville application was sent nov 21 2011

Anyone on this forum who got AIP and their file was transferred to etobicoke without DM and is waiting for etobicoke to contact them

Hi. I sent application to sponsor my wife back in 09/2011 and a year later VEG ask for police clearance and medicals. Since then no letters from any where and 01/2013 contact my local MP with question to find what is going on. Week later he called me and told me VEG can't make a decision on my file and transfer my file to ETOB without AIP on 08/02/2013 and in 6 month period ETOB should call us for an interview. 6 months period is over on 08/08/2013 and I called them to ask what is going on?
The agent told me they gonna need more time because of "ongoing investigation" on my file.
p.s. I don't have any criminal record, nor my wife.
My ECAS shows:
11 Sep 2011 - we received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
14 Oct 2011 - we started processing of your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
08 Aug 2012 - we received your medical information

Nothing after.........
