Hey everyone,

I rang to Cic call centre on Friday and this time a nice guy answered. He told me that I have been approved the second stage and wil get letter I'm two to three days. Feeling so much better now but still waiting for the letter lol

We are on the same boat: I have been approved on May 13th for the second stage and I am still waiting for a appointment letter from Vancouver office. I do know what to say: I have been waiting for over 2 years.

My office is also Vancouver. So we ve been waiting from the same time. The call centre told me tht I should get letter In few days. Keep me posted if u hear something n I will do the same.

well we have couple people here who are transferred in alberta, me myself and 2 other girls here are Edmonton and 2 more guys are Calgary...u are still lucky Edmonton wait times is 24 months....and Calgary is 12-18 months so u are far better off than us.....charmine was transferred to cic Edmonton on 1 oct and still date nothing.....so hang in there and god help us all...

I got an email today saying that my permanent residency is now complete and Niagara Falls office will contact me! ;D ;D ;D

Today while fretting over the prospect of finding my riverside flat in Calgary quite possibly being inundated by 4 feet of water when I arrive home from work tonight I recieved an email notification from CIC which reads:

We received your application to sponsor A.D. on October 12, 2011.

We started processing your application on December 22, 2011.

We sent you a letter on June 18, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

In the Permanent Residence application part it now reads:
We received A.D.'s application for permanent residence on October 12, 2011.

We started processing A.D.'s application on June 19, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

Does this mean that my spouse finally has Stage 1 approval???

I am very happy that the nightmare has almost come to an end. I want to thank everyone on this forum and Computergeek in particular for very helpful, useful advice and encouragement during this long and difficult time. If it is not perhaps asking too much I sincerely hope that the PR part of this application will not take an additional 8 months or more...

Hi Computergeek,

Please let me know how long will it take CIC to do Background cheek for my wife application. We filed the application in March 2011 and May 2012 the application was transferred to CIC Etobicoke for Clarifications which was approved for 1st stage in January, 2013. Now we are waiting for the background check .
